Before deciding to become a beauty journalist, Ayesha originally planned on becoming a divorce lawyer but eventually decided against it when she realised that it wasn’t just about shouting “Objection” and storming into courtrooms.

Her awkward teenage years rendered it essential that she immersed herself in the worlds of beauty and make-up, however she found it Not Fair that there weren’t nearly enough brands that catered for women of her colour. Times are certainly changing now and she is writing a column exploring the new and exciting options that are now available for women of darker skin tones.
