Makeup artist Hannah Martin conjures up a festive face in 7 minutes

Makeup artist Hannah Martin  is beauty industry royalty. She was a senior pro artist at Bobbi Brown for the best part of a decade, the maestro behind Princess Eugenie's world-class wedding makeup and even reportedly helped Kate Middleton conjure up her own bridal beauty look. No wonder her YouTube channel  has over four million views and counting.

Hannah has already smashed our #gettheglossin7 seven-minute makeup challenge twice (with a day-to-night look  then a summer glow tutorial ), and so we couldn't wait to get her back in the hot seat, tasked with conjuring up a festive-ready face using her own collab range, a six-piece collection with Ciate London, along with more of her most-loved brands.

The collection sold out in a matter of days when it launched back in November however there's a new Ciate London x Hannah Martin Edit, £40 (but worth £134) about to be restocked (you can join the waitlist ). This time, it comprises two new additions – a coral blush and a nourishing lip oil.

Hannah's makeup MO? Smouldering rose gold eyes, highlighter-draped cheekbones and skin more polished than the tiled floors of Claridges.

Here's how she did it...

Hannah kicks things off with a speedy base using Ciate London Dewy Skin Glass Glow Tint , £26 – a lightweight tinted moisturiser that's part of the brand's core collection. Blending it all over sans brushes, she opts for shade 5 – a little warmer than her own skin tone – to add luminosity to her "slightly lacklustre early December skin."

Next, she applies Code 8 Seamless Cover Skin Perfecting Concealer , £27, in short, horizontal stripes across her cheeks, chin and under her eyes. Her secret weapon? Her fingertips. "When speed is of the essence, these are a marvellous tool," Hannah explains while patting in the full-coverage formula.

For fast fluffy arches, she brushes BBB London Brow Build Gel in Indian Chocolate , £21, upwards. "It very lightly colours the hairs and holds them in place for the day. What's not to love about that?" Hannah comments.

Gilded lids are a signature for Hannah and for this look, she enlists the shade Junko Tabei (named after the Japanese mountaineer) from her Ciate London I am Woman Palette , £39. She presses it all over the lid for berry-toned sparkle although reveals it also works beautifully layered over one of the matte shadows from the same palette.

When your Uber's coming in five and you're yet to do your eyes? Employ Hannah's shortcut for fool-proof winged liner. She simply presses the triangular end of Ciate London Stamp and Drag Liner , £15, at the outer corner of each eye, then flips it round and glides the pen along the length of her upper lash line.

Her amped-up lashes come courtesy of Ciate London Triple Shot XXL Mascara , £19.50, which, according to the pro, boasts flower-shaped fibres to create more volume than the usual linear kind. Positioning her wand vertically, Hannah strokes the mascara back and forth along her lower lashes, too, for a 360-degree flutter.

She follows with Ciate London Marbled Light Illuminating Blush in Breeze , £18.50, on the apples of her cheeks – a shade she recommends for all skin tones. "It's a gorgeous pinky peach shot with gold which means you not only get the blush but a little bit of glow, too," she tells us.

A little extra shadow under the lower lash line is essential for any smouldering eye look but Hannah's tool of choice is surprising. Instead of a thin pencil-like brush, she opts for a larger fluffy brush which she uses to sweep on the shade Grace Hopper – a matte brown.

Ciate London Everyday Vacay Coconut Lip Oil , £14, tops everything off, lending her lips a clear glossy veil.

With a little time left, Hannah adds a dusting of Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium , £33, over her forehead and cheeks. That's accompanied by her "piece de resistance" – Ciate London Glow-To Highlighter in Moondust , £26, on the tops of her cheekbones, middle of the nose and the inner corners of the eyes.

"With a clean brush, just take it anywhere you want the light to linger," Hannah advises. Realising she still has 17 seconds on the clock, she goes back into the same eye palette and dabs a touch of the shade You – a glittering burnished copper – at the centre of her lids.

"Who would have thought I'd have so much time to spare?!" comments the pro, showing just why Eugenie and co are clamouring for her.
