There are personal trainers, and then there's Dalton Wong. Sure, he's trained an X-Man or two. Our favourite funny girl and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has him on speed-dial and Amanda Seyfried counts on him to keep her trim, while hunks worldwide turn to him to get fighting fit for modelling jobs and acting roles. Yet, despite his superhuman skills when it comes to getting clients into shape, it's his holistic methods and 360° approach to health and wellbeing that really set him apart from the competition.
Having started his career at a Harley Street rehabilitation clinic, Dalton went on to co-found Bodyism with fellow fitness authority James Duigan before establishing his own bespoke business, Twenty Two Training, tucked away in London's Kensington. With the help of his expert team, Dalton helps clients to become the best they can be, injecting a welcome dose of fun and realism to the training process and always prioritising his members’ health and happiness above achieving punishing fitness goals.
Working out with Mr Wong is a breath of fresh air - he loves to mix up routines and training venues and his boundless enthusiasm combined with his infectious positivity will have you on a high for hours afterwards, with the additional benefit of firming up your form and fighting stubborn flab.
His main objective is to help people thrive, and his faultless dedication to his client's needs and interests means that if you're flagging during a session or not feeling on top of things, he may choose to put the training on hold to prescribe a massage or yoga session instead. He also applies this levelheaded philosophy to his sage nutritional guidance - keeping clients on track and ensuring that they strike a balance and don't beat themselves up about the odd night on the vino or a plate of pasta. As long as you're getting fitter, healthier, stronger and happier in the long run (which you will be under Dalton's watch), occasional treats are part of the programme. Sign us up stat!
