Dan began his coaching career at the age of 16, and we won’t disclose his current age, but it’s a fair assessment that his rise to the top has taken in almost every guise of sporting excellence. In fact, from tennis to lacrosse to athletics (even ultra marathons), there’s barely a sport that Dan hasn’t mastered and gone on to teach to others. He likes to stay on his toes, however, and takes up new and unfamiliar challenges as often as he can so that he can both expand his knowledge and always stay in touch with how his clients feel when he’s putting them through their paces. This insatiable drive means that he’s now a skilled yogi, rock climber and professional Muay Thai fighter (more on that later).
As you can probably tell by now, doing things by halves isn’t Dan’s cup of tea. Whether he’s training models, actors, elite athletes or long term clients, Dan encourages one and all to see exercise as fun, fulfilling and mentally stimulating, rather than a chore to endure for aesthetic ends. He’s well versed in everything from nutrition to sports science to feminism, and calls on every skill in his arsenal to make those he trains, and the public via his press, charity, education work, books and DVDs, love, appreciate and utilise their bodies to the full. Incidentally, he's teaching us to punch, kick and fight Muay Thai style, which is no mean feat. You may not have heard of him (discretion is one of his many calling cards), but read between the lines and you’ll start to realise that Dan Roberts is a big deal indeed.
