Unsatisfied with a highflying career in the City, Katya Igumentseva set out to create a company that would help to make a difference – enter Organic Burst.

After leaving her job in finance, Katya attended Cambridge University and began studying for a postgraduate degree in economics. She was passionate about combining sustainable development with improving the quality of people’s lives. She grew progressively more interested in social and environmental economics and realised she wanted to get involved in boosting local economy and communities in developing countries.

Katya then stumbled across superfoods and was instantly sold on the numerous health benefits they had to offer. She realised that not many people knew about the life-changing effects of superfoods and wanted to spread the message.

She decided to create a brand that spread this awareness while encouraging people to take better care of their health. She sourced all ingredients from ethical organic producers with the aim of helping local economies and communities. Organic Burst has gone on to win many awards for its incredible superfoods.
