Sebastian first discovered the amazing power of herbs when travelling in India soon after leaving school. Experiencing first hand the cures of a herbal healer, he was inspired by the powers of herbal medicine and the trip changed the course of his life. Subsequently, on his return to the UK, he spent seven years training as an Ayurvedic and Chinese Practitioner before setting up his own clinic in Somerset. Once treating patients he became quickly dissatisfied with the quality of herbs available to him and started to grow and source his own.

Some years later he stumbled on an advert in a local Bristol magazine asking for someone wanting to grow a business in a ‘sustainable and healthy way’ and in that moment Pukka was born with his partner Tim Westwell. Best known for their incredible organic herbal teas Pukka Herbs also sell organic supplements, syrups and other wonderful health foods sourced from around the world. As you can see, Pukka are on a mission to bring the wonders of herbs into your life.

As well as bringing you a delicious cup of tea, Pukka is passionate about developing its relationship with herb growers and its sustainable business practices. Alongside his work with Pukka, Sebastian still see patients one day a week at his Bath based practice treating a whole host of concerns from arthritis and skin inflammation to chronic stress and women’s health issues.

Loving to live a life close to nature, Sebastian lives with his family on a small-holding where he grows organic food and herbs and enjoys nothing more than the therapeutic cup of tea whilst watching them all grow.
