Head of Brand Marketing – Maternity Cover


Salary: Dependent on experience

Contract type: Fixed term – 6 months, commencing February 1st 2021

Location: London (remote working – with the expectation of some travel – considered)

Lumity Life’s products have developed from best-in-class scientific research, and the Brand proudly supports a community of thousands of clients around the world who love Lumity. Led by her understanding of the body as an infinitely intelligent network of interdependent processes, Cambridge Scientist, Sara Palmer Hussey PhD formulated a supplement that would effectively sustain the healthy functioning of the whole body as we age. Lumity supplements aim to help people feel like the best version of themselves - full of energy and enjoying good health. To complete the inside out care story the brand launched a best-selling Skin Nutrients Facial Oil and a 4-in-1 Cleanse product. Two new supplement products will be launched in 2021.

Lumity are looking for an experienced, consumer focused Head of Brand Marketing to cover a period of maternity leave, with the drive and ability to create, manage and execute our global marketing calendar. This position is likely to be suitable for an existing Head of Brand Marketing, or a Senior Brand Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Over the proposed 6-month period, the right candidate for this role will lend their expertise to several key projects, including: Campaign planning and execution, Brand packaging and design, Retail marketing support.Content and social media execution.

The role:

  • Strengthening our brand through strategic initiatives - NPD launches and ATL/BTL cross-functional promotional campaigns

  • Managing the execution of the brand: design, product, packaging, and broader marketing campaigns.

  • Originating and leading brand and media partnerships.

  • Driving integrated marketing and social media campaigns to generate increased brand awareness and engagement, growing our consumer community, and supporting both commercial channels (D2C and Retail).

  • Leading the key elements of brand planning, range management and marketing mix, ensuring that initiatives are profitable, competitive and in line with our overall growth plan.

  • Planning, developing, leading, and evolving the implementation of communication activities, working with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the Lumity brand, and all brand communication is brought to life consistently across every customer touch point: digital, retail, social and in all regions.

  • Managing external PR agencies in the UK and US.

  • Overseeing investment budget alongside the Marketing Director.

  • Managing and supporting a small, dynamic team: Marketing Executive, Senior Creative Designer, Head of Content & VIP Care and Social Media Manager.

What we need from you:

  • 5 years’ brand marketing management experience in a similar role or with an agency, ideally with experience within the Beauty industry.

  • The ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new marketing initiatives that establishes or supports the company's brand strategy.

  • A result driven mentality; the capability to unlock opportunities and forecast budget responsibility • A focus on digital first and omnichannel.

  • Consumer centric; thinks globally and translates locally.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and comfort with operating at pace.

  • Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices.

  • People management experience and an aptitude for teamwork and working cross functionally.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint and Excel, is essential.

  • Familiarity with Shopify, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest highly desirable.
