Unique opportunity for an outgoing, experienced Social Media, PR & Events Coordinator to join the teams of two fun, fast paced beauty businesses with strong heritage stories on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will have a background in marketing, ideally in the beauty industry and will be creative, highly organised and self motivated.

You will be working for Pommade Divine and Olverum. Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver growth, develop and manage all social media activity and special events
  • Ensure content strategy is executed in line with the brands’ image and tone of voice
  • Grow, engage and inspire our online communities

You will have the ability to write strong editorial copy, post brilliant social media activity and build collaborative relationships with our community.



  • Own content development: work collaboratively with the team to co-develop a social media content calendar and programs. Manage asset creation process and ensure timelines are met. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Propose innovative campaigns to extend brand presence socially, drive traffic to website and increase engagement and loyalty
  • Take a 24/7 approach to social community management. Escalate questions/issues to Managers as needed
  • Implement a proactive strategy for capturing customer online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
  • Structure and conduct engagement with consumers through social media marketing channels as a means to spark positive interactions/recommendations for the brand, and product sales
  • Flawless execution, protecting and enhancing the brands’ image with total consistency across all digital content channels, including and not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Manage conversations within social platforms using the brand’s tone of voice with the ability to create content & creative copy both as part of a campaign, and in real time
  • On a regular basis, identify issues, patterns and trends in consumer comments/inquiries and funnel information to the Managers
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
  • Form vlogger relationships to ensure a larger share of voice on YouTube and broadcast channels
  • Seek opportunities to produce online video content
  • Seek out co-marketing activities and affiliate marketing opportunities with brands relevant to our target audience
  • Maximise SEO, SMO and deeplinks to drive click through to purchase
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organisations and companies are using them
  • Support Team with ad hoc artwork requests


  • Manage and execute all events that represent Pommade Divine and Olverum to the community from trade shows such as NOPE and Top Drawer to new product launches
  • Represent the brand at retailer beauty events; training staff in-store to further drive product sales
  • Seek out new events to raise brand awareness among our target audience
  • Manage all aspects of events from ideation, production and execution


  • Work with our external agencies to ensure best possible press is captured and shared with our community in a relevant and engaging way


  • University degree (preferably in Marketing, English Literature, Business Management or Creative Design)
  • Solid related experience (luxury brand/beauty/fashion/entertainment experience a plus, especially if in Marketing)
  • Active daily life in online and social media; strong knowledge of latest trends and technologies
  • Demonstrated creativity and "story-telling" skills; campaign ideas and writing samples will be requested as part of interview
  • Native English speaker
  • Design/creative and photography skills is a must
  • A passion for beauty and retail
  • Exceptional written English and exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in creating and implementing a social media strategy; including defining the platform mix and role of each
  • Ability to create strong editorial copy and content creation with the ability to tailor and differentiate across multiple social platforms
  • A hardworking, creative, mindful and ‘can-do’ work ethic
  • Entrepreneurial approach: owning the role and proactively finding ways to change/improve our current marketing campaigns
  • Sociable, outgoing personality. Excellent people skills: build collaborative relationships within a start-up organisation
  • Sound judgment to drive optimal brand engagement in online beauty/brand communities; adhere to a clear, brand-appropriate tone of voice; and identify/escalate potential issues/crises
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to beauty (be prepared to discuss in an interview)
  • Net savvy (highly engaged in social networking sites & all things Web 2.0)
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research
  • Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with Shopify and Photoshop
