It’s just been revealed that the singer has a 50-piece cosmetics collection in the works, and judging from her collaborations with Urban Decay and Revlon, we’re in for a treat
2018 is truly proving itself the year of the celebrity beauty brand. Not only has Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty continued to go from strength to strength, but Victoria Beckham’s busy working on a skincare line and last week, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she’s launching a 70-piece collection with Inglot. It’s an illustrious line-up of A-listers and joining them is no other than Gwen Stefani, who’s recently filed trademarks for a seriously far-reaching cosmetics line of her own.
According to TMZ, the singer, fashion designer and The Voice judge has trademarked the name P8NT Cosmetics (pronounced ‘paint’ - great choice) and also registered to trademark at least fifty different products under it. From eyeliners to lipsticks, moisturisers to hair colour, it looks set to cover everything from makeup to skincare and hair care.
Judging from her previous collaborations with Urban Decay and her role as Global Brand Ambassador for Revlon, we’ll be in for something rather special. The 48-year-old mogul has yet to confirm a launch date and unveil the full collection, but while we wait, here are three of Gwen’s makeup essentials to provide an indication of what’s to come.
Surely one of the most eagerly anticipated products will be the red lipstick in the range. While we’ll have to wait to get our hands on it, we can at least seek out one of her go-tos in the meantime - Revlon’s Cherries in the Snow Super Lustrous Lipstick. Described by Gwen as a “real old-school red” in an interview with Elle last year, it’s high in colour payoff, low in cost - perfect.
Ensure your statement lip stays put with this waterproof lip liner created by Gwen and Urban Decay co-founder, Wende Zomnir. Containing a conditioning cocktail of vitamin E, jojoba oil and cottonseed oil, it primes as well as it hydrates.
To achieve an arch worthy of the No Doubt singer, look no further than this foolproof crayon. Providing easy to build colour that doesn’t move, it’s what she reaches for when she needs to get brow-ready, fast.
