Sit back and watch SATC as Bliss London's skilled technicians sort out your hard skin

Fed up with the rain outside, I was delighted to discover that Bliss had managed to find a way to bring some sunshine into its London spa: blue-skied walls, grass and fresh orange juice (with pulp - bonus points) greeted me upon my arrival for my "Freshly Squeezed Mani and Pedi". In need of some extreme help for my extremities, I'd heard that a mani-pedi at Bliss London would sort me out.

My nail technician, Natalia, was wonderfully efficient, professional and personable. Having worked her magic on many a pair of woesome feet, she reassured me that mine were just fine and she was incredibly helpful with regards to aftercare advice and tips (have a mani-pedi every month and don’t leave nail polish on for longer than four weeks as it weakens the nails).

Unafraid to tackle every resilient cuticle, unsightly nail or flaky bit of skin head-on, there's very little that makes Natalia flinch. However, I had to stifle a giggle when she sported a surgical mask to tackle my hard skin (such was the condition of my neglected feet). Thankfully, the spa had Sex and the City playing on its selection of flat-screen TVs, ensuring that I was too distracted by Samantha Jones's sexual exploits to notice.

After lashings of divine-smelling Bliss creams and scrubs, my hands and feet were left baby smooth before I was presented with a huge selection of Essie and OPI nail polishes to complete my treatment. The results were nothing short of miraculous and my journey home that evening was spent looking at my newly transformed digits. What’s more they stayed chip-free for nearly three weeks.

Aside from manis and pedis, the spa also offers highly sought-after facials, massages, waxing and body treatments. With a peaceful atmosphere, approachable staff, a brownie buffet(!) and hilariously named treatments ("FatGirlSlim" or "Quadruple Thighpass", anyone?), you'd be hard-pressed not to leave this spa without a massive grin plastered on your face.

Bliss' Freshly Squeezed Mani, £32 and Freshly Squeezed Pedi, £61 are available for a limited time only. In case you miss it, try the Hot Cream Manicure, £30.70 and Fabulous Feet Pedicure, £56.20 or £86.90 together
