Ayesha Muttucumaru gives her skin a much-needed pre-holiday treat

For a treatment that truly relaxes both body and mind, look no further than this luxuriously indulgent treatment for rejuvenating tired limbs and brightening up lacklustre skin.

Located at the five star Brown’s Hotel in London, the spa is quietly tucked away on the lower ground floor with spacious and peaceful treatment rooms to take you away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Piccadilly Circus. My therapist Sian was polite, experienced and courteous and ensured that my time there was as relaxing and tranquil as possible.

Usually quite vigilant about my facial skincare routine, I had been rather neglectful of the rest of my body of late and it certainly showed. Dull, rough and so dry that it was akin to a desert lizard’s, I think it’s safe to say that it had seen better days.

What followed during the next 90 minutes was just the antidote to my reptilian-like skin woes – a thorough top to toe body exfoliation, a wonderfully refreshing massage with some fantastically fragranced and intensively moisturising Aromatherapy Associates creams, oils and serums, and a stress relieving scalp massage to top it off. The treatment was so tension alleviating in fact that I fell asleep, soon to be politely woken up by Sian, mid-snore and legs akimbo in my paper under-weared glory. Not my best look.

Post-treatment, my skin felt silky smooth, polished and buffed. With summer well and truly here, this is a treatment worth booking in for to get thoroughly beach body-prepped to ensure you have the confidence to bare some skin this season.

Ayesha tried the Aromatherapy Associates Enrich Body Treatment, £140 for 90 minutes. To book call 020 7518 4009.
