The pain manager: Period Harmony Monthly Patches, £9.99
"When it comes to period pain, I’m a seriel painkiller popper. It’s bad, I know. So when I finally swapped painkillers for period pain patches for my cramps it was an epiphany. These convenient, discreet and affordable patches are designed to help provide targeted relief from menstrual discomfort. It contains a blend of natural ingredients including eucalyptus and menthol which are both known for their soothing properties and really do help alleviate pain and reduce inflammation. What I love about these patches is unlike others, they last all day long (around 8-12 hours) so you can really make the most out of the cost-per-wear of the one-time use patches. They are a great alternative to a hot water bottle when your on-the-go too as the patches release a constant stream of cooling (yet slightly warming) comfort." Jemma Thompson, GTG Design and Social Media Manager
The mushroom capsules for better sleep: Grass&Co Dream, £24.50
"As a beauty editor who can’t get her beauty sleep, I’m always on the lookout for the latest sleep supplements and this one combining cortisol calming reishi mushroom, sage and magnesium was catapulted onto my radar by nutritional therapist Charlotte Faure Green when she named as her winner in the Best Sleep Enhancer category of the Get The Gloss Wellness Awards 2023. “The three hero components all have GABA-inducing properties. GABA is our calming neurotransmitter and it allows us to turn out brain off and fall into calm,” she says. I take two at bedtime, and couldn’t agree more." Victoria Woodhall, GTG Editorial Director
The portable home scenter: Bamford Strato Atomising Diffuser, £120
“This is one of the best electric diffusers I’ve ever used. It makes scenting your home easy thanks to its slick but practical design. It’s completely wireless and one charge lasts 12 hours, so you can transport it around your house without the faff of having to find plug sockets. It is also waterless so no worry of spatters of vapour going everywhere. All you have to do is unscrew one of the co-ordinating Bamford oils - I can highly recommend the Revive Oil, £25, which is the signature smell of the Bamford spa - pop it in the diffuser and it then puffs the scent into the room however frequently you want it to (there are three interval settings) to bring some serious tranquillity into your home.”SJ Corfield-Smith, GTG Beauty Director
The best sports bra I’ve ever tried: Sweaty Betty Zero Gravity Running Bra, £75
“An all-female team apparently spent two years perfecting this sports bra and, quite frankly, it shows. I am very appreciative of the fact it’s a doddle to take on and off, and to fasten - it’s bad enough getting up at 6 to go the gym, let alone having to wrestle with a sports bra at that time. Also there are no underwires to wriggle free and stab you and yet it heroically holds everything in place, even during a godforsaken set of burpees or a 10k run. Finally it comes in a bumper range of 10 shades, including a pistachio green which looks pretty peeking out from under my black vest. It’s pricey but absolutely worth it." Kerry Potter, GTG Associate Editor
The puffy eye saviour: Peep Club Heated Eye Wand, £65
"I was initially sceptical about this product, but after using it for a few weeks, I now can’t imagine life without it. This is the new 'pro' version which offers four different settings; heat, heat and massage, heat and red LED and massage and red LED. The temperature is just right, providing a warm and comfortable feeling when applied to the skin around the eyes and I used it on heat mode to help treat a stye I had and in two days it had significantly reduced. I also found using the massage and red LED mode in the morning helped reduce puffiness and the heat and red LED setting was great in the evening for relieving tension after spending all day looking at screens. It’s very lightweight and portable, making it easy to take with you on the go." Christina Callaghan, GTG Commercial Director
The delicious snack: Nasty Vegan Super Shake in Strawberry Cheesecake, £20
"I've never really considered myself a protein powder type of girl but when skincare expert, Dr David Jack raved about the chocolate flavour of this as a great way to get protein into your system and as a healthy alternative to breakfast or snack, I was sold. And I have to say that this strawberry cheesecake flavour is utterly delicious. Packed with 25 grams of protein per serving, this vegan protein blend is a superior alternative to meat and whey proteins and offers both indulgence and nourishment. Add it to either water or plant-based milk and you can tweak the volume of liquid to make it thicker or thinner depending how you like it. A 500g bag costs £20 and gives you 14 servings making it around £1.50 per drink - what a steal!" Amy Rostas, GTG Beauty and Social Media Assistant
The simplest supplement system: Advanced Nutrition, Skin Collagen Synergy, £62
"Navigating which supplements to take is such a faff. Fortunately, Advanced Nutrition has created a range of 28-day supplies which have a brilliant smart supplement system and contain everything you need depending on your desired outcome. I’ve been taking their Skin Collagen Synergy supply which has been formulated to support fresh-looking skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. They come in handy daily dose pods containing four capsules. There are two skin collagen capsules which synergise vitamin C, zinc, grapeseed extract and antioxidant-rich melon concentrate. There’s a skin vitamin C supplement with zinc and acerola berry to help lighten and brighten the skin. Plus a multivitamin containing 28 ingredients including Vitamin B, E, B2, B3, zinc and magnesium. All their supplements are formulated by a team of nutritional and pharmaceutical experts, are backed by evidence-based research, and are rigorously tested and analysed on their effectiveness. Plus the ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced and scrupulously checked and screened for contaminants, heavy metals and pathogens. Popping my pills has never been so easy and a big shout out for all their eco-packaging." Marie Louise Pumfrey, GTG contributor
The energy spritz: Fun Energy Spray, £20
"If you’re looking for a caffeine-free, sugar-free, low-calorie alternative to boost your energy levels, this might be your solution. Created by Balinese wellness brand G Herbal (who have been in the game for over 10 years) draws inspiration from traditional Indonesian herbal remedies. This nootropic spray uses turmeric and tamarind to help naturally enhance brain performance, boost energy and reduce fatigue. Each 30ml bottle contains 240 sprays, they claim that six sprays will give you pep like a cup of coffee and 12 sprays are similar to an energy drink. I’ve yet to try the latter but four spritzes seem to help my afternoon brain fog." JT
The natural deo that will convert you: Necessaire The Deodorant Gel in Eucalyptus, £18
"If my 15-year-old son says this is a good deodorant then I’m sold. The cool US minimalist natural skincare brand Necessaire recently branched out into ‘pit care’ and this fresh eucalyptus gel has passed the mother and son test with flying colours for scent and performance. And there’s more: if you suffer from bumps and discolouration, the added skincare ingredients of blemish- and pigmentation-busting niacinamide and exfoliating mandelic acid are there to help look after your armpits with the same care as you do your face. Wave your arms in the air!" VW
The daily skin booster: Dose & Co. Marine Collagen, £32.99
“There’s a lot of chatter around do collagen supplements work but all of the skin experts I’ve ever spoken to swear by them. I have been taking collagen on and off for three years. My problem with it is making it a consistent part of my routine, which is essential to reap the benefit of any supplement. Having previously taken liquid and tablet forms I’m now trying out this powder version in the hope that heaping two teaspoons of it into my water bottle first thing in the morning will mean I make it a daily habit. It is flavourless and you can add it to any drink, hot or cold. I’m keeping my pot next to the teabags so I have no excuse.” SJCS
The sore muscle soother: Mother Sage CBD Body Butter, £23.99
"CBD has been championed for its soothing, anti-inflammatory powers and I have always been a fan of any products containing CBD (topical and ingestible) as I really do believe in the benefits for your overall wellbeing. MotherSages’ body butter is more of a balm that melts into your skin and deeply moisturises. I found that applying this after a long day really helped to relax my muscles and calm my mind. For me, CBD products also help to soothe itching and relieve my extremely dry skin, more so than normal body moisturisers. The product contains a low amount of CBD, so a good product for someone who wants to dip their toes into the category." CC
The focus coffee supplement: Dirtea The Focus Mushroom - Lion's Mane Mushroom Powder, £39.99
"Feeling flat and struggling to pay attention to daily tasks? I've got the perfect solution for you: the Dirtea Focus Powder. This interesting mushroom supplement powder enhances focus like no other. With its powerful ingredients, including Lion's Mane Mushroom, it promotes mental clarity while supporting digestion and memory. In just four days, I've experienced a noticeable difference, and the best part is, I can easily blend it into my morning coffee without altering the taste. Get ready for improved productivity!" AR
Elevating aromas: Nest New York, Lime Zest and Matcha Classic Candle 230g, £45
"In this post-covid era of working from home my dining room has become my office and the need to elevate my mood on a daily basis is a necessity now. I have a concoction in my tool kit which includes evening yoga, walking my dog and morning positive affirmations. My favourite for the home office though is burning a scented candle and my current tipple is the new therapeutic Lime Zest and Matcha fragrance from the Nest New York range. Its glorious perfume is immediately invigorating with a zingy lime zest, green tea, clary sage and bergamot combination and has been carefully formulated to be both therapeutic and mood boosting. It’s a cheerful fragrance which also helps me through the 3pm energy slump. Nest New York is a fine, artisan perfume brand with a range of uplifting and calming scents to set the tone for your day or night. The brand is striving to be as sustainable as possible too. Their products are formaldehyde, paraben and phthalates free" MLP
The PCOS supplement: MyOva Myo-inositol PCOS Support Supplement, £28.80
"As someone who has been struggling with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) symptoms for quite some time, finding a reliable and effective supplement to help balance my body naturally has been a top priority for me. This supplement contains myo-inositol, a natural ingredient known to help regulate the loop of hormonal fluctuations, e.g. heavy or irregular periods, acne, excess hair growth and more. It also contains folic acid and chromium which help to support immunity and energy levels whilst stabilising blood sugar levels and managing sugar cravings (much needed when I’m PMS’ing). It’s formulated in a tablet (which is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians) which personally I sometimes struggle to get down, but you can crush it into a powder and pop it in yoghurts or juices which is easier for me." JT
The light-as-air hair towel: Good Wash Day Hair Towel, £30
"If you have fragile hair as I do (I have a thinning hairline) then wrapping your hair in conventional towel can add unwanted weight and stress. Not with this organic lightweight jersey towel, which reduces drying time and frizz, wraps easily and is extremely comfortable to wear around the house. It comes in an array of colours and even a funky leopard print. Reviewers have praised it for its gentleness during chemo and post-pregnancy hair shedding too. And if you’re a curly girl as I am, it’s one of the best hair towels I’ve tried for curl-enhancing air drying." VW
The shower gel with a conscience: Molton Brown Infinite Bottle, £40
“Of course, all beauty brands should be making strides to improve their eco credentials but not all are. Molton Brown has set the goal of making 50 per cent of their products reusable and refillable by 2030, which is an admirable effort. First up, is the introduction of this infinite bottle. Made from recycled aluminium and infinitely recyclable itself, it can be filled up with their iconic bath and shower gels (my favourite is Fiery Pink Pepper), the refills are £28. They have also been reformulated to contain sustainably sourced, RSPO-certified palm oil derivatives. So if you’re looking to elevate those precious moments of self-care and want a product that comes with some extra eco peace of mind, this is a great place to start.” SJCS
