Emma Elms
Freelance Writer and Content Creator,
About
During her 30-year journalism career, Emma Elms has interviewed over 1,000 people, including Britney Spears for a Cosmo cover story, back in 2001, who was a total delight at the time. A highly experienced newspaper and magazine journalist, Emma has written for The Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, Femail and all the women’s glossies including Marie Claire, Grazia, GLAMOUR, Red, Good Housekeeping, Woman & Home and more. Back in the glory days, she used to work on Marie Claire as Deputy Features Editor and Cosmopolitan as Senior Writer.
A keen swimmer, Emma loves travelling to exotic locations and creating artistic swim videos of herself doing pool handstands for Instagram, to inspire other midlife women to enjoy the water. Obviously, her teen daughters find this mortifying. When she’s not busy embarrassing her three girls, Emma loves road-testing wellness trends such as cryotherapy and sound baths in a bid to help her relax.
A fourth-generation, lifelong vegetarian, Emma is often told she looks a decade younger than her real age of 50. She has a condition called cutaneous lupus, which means she is severely allergic to sunshine, so she never sunbathes and wears Factor 50 all year round. She likes to share her motto of #proudtobepale on Insta, to inspire other women to shun a suntan and protect their skin.
