Think Liz Earle Skincare is just for your mum? Our budget-conscious bride-to-be is all over the vitamin C Glow range, where everything is under £22.50

I was introduced to Liz Earle Skincare by my future mother-in-law several years ago, who insisted I try her beloved Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. It was the brand’s launch product 30 years ago, and it revolutionised cleansing (who’d ever thought of using a balm and muslin cloth?). While it’s iconic for a reason, there’s a newer Cleanse and Glow Brightening Cleansing Balm, £22.50, that has just launched as part of the brightening vitamin C Liz Earle Glow range, which is right up my street as a 30-something bride-to-be.

It’s not just me who’s discovered it. My colleague Jemma raved about it in our recent Glossy Picks roundup of new beauty and wellness launches. With a delicious bergamot scent, its brightening ingredients include acerola cherry (rich in vitamin C) and prickly pear, which helps slough off dead skin cells, while sea buckthorn adds a dose of moisturising omegas to keep your skin supple and soft.

Seriously impressed by the cleanser, I  immediately wanted to get my hands on the rest of the range for both face and body. With my wedding just around the corner, I was chasing a head-to-toe glow that wouldn’t break my skin out or break the bank – nothing in the six-product line-up, which includes a gel cleanser, a mild exfoliating toner, moisturiser, serum and body lotion) costs more than £22.50.

My honest review of  the full Liz Earle Glow routine

Thanks to the cleansing balm, I am fully in my cleansing era and have now added a second cleanse with the Transforming Gel Cleanser to my evening routine. While it starts as a gel, it transforms into a silky oil and then a milk when mixed with water – a real experience.  The balm and the gel cleanser combined leave your skin squeaky clean, especially after a hot, sweaty day in SPF50, melting makeup and city pollution.

Next, the  Smooth & Glow Exfoliating Tonic helps break down any dead skin cells and prep the skin for the lightweight serum and moisturiser.

My skin has never looked brighter, and I’ve noticed that my makeup sits even better on this routine. I’m confident it will see me through my Big Day in a few weeks (if I can prise it off, my bridesmaids).

I’ll be wearing bare arms on the day and so am getting my body prepped too with the lightweight Energise & Glow Body Lotion. It absorbs quickly, making it ideal for busy mornings when I’ve got about seven minutes to get out of the house. Bonus marks for the uplifting bergamot scent – that refreshing burst of citrus genuinely helps me feel revitalised and ready for the day ahead.

If you’re considering updating your skincare routine or simply looking for a cleansing range that delivers on both performance and nourishment, this collection is well worth exploring. It’s really well-priced too. I certainly know what to buy my future mother-in-law for her birthday.

We love it all! Shop the Liz Earle Glow Range from £16.50
