The news that waitlists have opened for beauty advent calendars 2026, or the fact that a few are already available to buy, will quickly determine your personality type. You will either be thrilled because it means your research on which is the best value beauty advent calendar, or which contains the most exciting goodies, can begin. Or, you will feel that this is far, far, far too early to be discussing anything remotely related to December and the “C” word.

However, what we know to be true every year is that when the beauty advent calendars launch, if you really want one, you need to be speedy, as they fly off the shelves.

And from the ones I’ve seen so far, Christmas 2026 looks to be a bumper year for beauty advent calendars, as the choice, price range, and the brands to choose from are even more staggering.

With that in mind, here are the ones that have launched their waiting lists and what we know so far.

The one with an LED tool:

John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Available: available to pre-order now

Number of windows: 25

Why you should buy it: John Lewis has declared this year’s beauty advent calendar as the biggest one they’ve ever done. It contains a staggering 41 products, half of which are full-size, which means most windows have more than one goody inside. There are delights from brands such as Elemis, Medik8, Jo Loves, Aveda and Sisley. And as well as skincare, makeup, hair and body products, there is some serious beauty tech in the shape of the Foreo Mini UFO device, which utilises LED light therapy, heating and sonic pulsations and helps skincare penetrate deeper into the skin for better results, which is worth £129 alone.

Anything extra special? 1 in every 41 calendars contains an additional mystery prize, such as a voucher for a Shark tool or a Clarins Spa Treatment.

Sephora Beauty Advent Calendar

Available: join the waitlist now
Price: £235

Why you should buy it: For the last four years, the Sephora beauty advent calendar has sold out within days of launch, so being prepared will pay off with this beauty advent calendar. Sephora hasn’t disclosed when it goes on sale yet. They are going to drip-feed more information over the next few weeks to build the hype, but we do know that it contains 41 products from brands such as Sol de Janeiro, Makeup By Mario, Medik8 and Dr Sam Bunting, and that there will be some exclusive products included. Of those 41, 27 are full-size.

The one with all full-sizes and a night's stay at a 5* hotel:

Cowshed 24 Day Deluxe Advent Calendar

Available: waitlist is open now and available to buy on 1st September
Price: £299
Worth: £547
Number of windows: 24

Why you should buy it: 2026 is the year that bath and body brand Cowshed has come back onto our radar, and they are finishing off the year with an amazing high in the shape of their advent calendar. All 24 products are full-sized and individually boxed and sealed, so you could even gift some of them, should you feel so generous. And alongside the many hand washes, bath and shower gels, body lotions and hand creams are three candles, two of which are existing Cowshed scents, and one is completely new. I would recommend keeping these for yourself!

Anything extra special? When there are lots of conversations around the eco credentials of lots of beauty advent calendars, Cowshed has solved that by packaging theirs in a gorgeous and genuinely reusable wicker hamper that will last for many, many Christmases to come.

But, perhaps the real stand-out element of this gorgeous beauty advent calendar is that hidden in two hampers is a vintage hotel key which unlocks a one-night stay at the home of Cowshed, the 5-star celebrity Somerset bolt-hole hotel, Babington House.
