Tatcha The Brightening Serum, £86

“If all the vitamin C serums you’ve previously tried have felt too oily on your skin, then this is worth your time and attention. It is super silky and sinks in leaving skin feeling like velvet – Tatcha are the masters of next-level textures and there is no grease or residue with this, making it easy to layer with your other skincare. As well as slow-releasing vitamin C (that works for 12 hours throughout the day) to brighten, it has been teamed with ferulic acid to help firm and an antioxidant complex to repair the skin from pollution and other external stresses.”

Kate Somerville Hydrakate Illuminating SPF50+ Drops, £39

“Mineral sunscreens haven’t always had the best rep but they have come on leaps and bounds and this newest one does everything you want and need from your daily face SPF. It’s super lightweight and contains buzzy skincare ingredient of the moment, ectoin, which is a brilliant hydrator. It has a universal pinky, glowy tint to it which leaves all skin tones looking luminous and healthy (not white and chalky – promise!) and it contains brilliant mineral-based broad-spectrum sun protection. It’s water resistant so a great option for sunny holidays, just remember to keep reapplying.”

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour, £27

“Following on from the stratospheric success of her cream blusher comes the latest product to be added to Selena Gomez’s makeup range, a cream contour. Available in an inclusive seven shades, it comes with a chunky-sized applicator to dot over your face wherever you want to create some extra chisel to your face structure. You can use your fingers to push it into the skin or buff it in with a brush, either way, they blend into the skin like a dream so it looks completely natural and as if you were blessed with supermodel-worthy cheekbones instead of faking them. All of which makes it the perfect contour product.”

Neom Complete Bliss Hand Wash, £25

“Who doesn’t love an upgrade from the usual cheap and cheerful handwash for something that smells heavenly, is kinder on the skin and looks Insta-perfect too? All those boxes are ticked with this new hand wash from home scenting experts, Neom. Plus they come with mega-sized refills (£37.50) so you can keep topping up the pump bottle – I estimate the refill will keep you in posh handwash for the next year.”

John Frieda Pro Filler Scalp Serum, £14.99

“This clear liquid gel with a barely perceptible rosemary scent is applied directly to the scalp when hair is either dry or wet – it absorbs instantly. But how is it different to other scalp serums? Well, most hydrate and stimulate blood flow: this aids a healthy environment for hair growth but to say they are ‘growth-boosting’ is a bit of a stretch, too often made. The science buffs at John Frieda reckoned the same, so they set out to create one that actually does increase hair growth, and they’ve got the clinical study to prove it does by 30 per cent in four weeks of daily use. It works on every cause of hair loss, strengthening follicles and the hair shaft, improving hair retention, reducing thinning and protecting from environmental damage with peptides, natural hormone inhibitors and antioxidants. For the price, that’s a small miracle.”

Dose by VH Collagen Tripeptide Complex, £45.90 for a 30-day supply

“This is only the second collagen capsule on the market that makes sense, and as someone who’s no fan of collagen drinks or dumping loads of collagen powder in one’s coffee, I’m excited. Inspired by the successful Ingenious Collagen supplements, these capsules are enteric, which means they are protected from being broken down by stomach acid until they get to the small intestine, where the marine collagen peptides and collagen co-factors enter the bloodstream. This technology means you can use far fewer collagen peptides than usually required (the gold standard amount is 10,000mg; this is 1,000mg per three daily capsules) to get the skin, hair and nail, strengthening and smoothing benefits.”

Memo Paris Portobello Road EdP, £235

“The inflation in perfume prices is annoying to say the least and this is clearly very expensive. But now and then a scent comes along that warrants the money, if only because the smallest spritz has such a relentless trail, it could last for days. This is one such fragrance, and thankfully it’s highly original (a rare thing these days) and delicious as well. Its heady, syrupy, tangy myrtle oil really captures the bohemian vibe of swinging ‘60’s Portobello Road, as do the fleeting ‘rain shower’ accord and the gorgeous bottle. One to make an entrance with.”

Bare Biology Rise & Shine Omega-3 + Vitamin D3 for a 30-day supply, £32.95

“The issue with supplements that combine nutrients is that they don’t often deliver all said nutrients at the levels you might want. So I really like this combo of two supplements I believe in enough to take every day, both at significant concentrations. Two capsules deliver 1320mg of omega 3 (health authorities recommend between 250 and 4000mg daily) from sardine, anchovy and mackerel oils plus 25mg or 1000IU (every doctor I know takes at least that daily) of vitamin D3. That’s all I need to protect my brain, skin, eyes and immunity in one easy go.”

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Tint, £34

“Milk Makeup is known for its innovative launches, breaking the internet last year with the viral jelly blush. Naturally, I had high expectations for their first skin tint – and so far, it’s living up to the hype. The lightweight formula is infused with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and squalane, keeping skin hydrated and smooth all day. It offers a natural, dewy finish, feels breathable and comes in 15 shades. As someone who skips foundation most days, this has been the perfect everyday option – evening out my complexion without looking cakey.”

Monpure Ceramide Complex Bond Repair Shampoo, £42

“We all know the effects hard water can have on our hair, which is why I’m committed to my hair repair journey. Enter this new ceramide shampoo – yes, it has a bit of a hefty price tag, but it’s worth it when my hair no longer feels like straw. Infused with amino acids and PCA, it deeply hydrates strands, repairs broken bonds and strengthens the hair barrier. The result is a glossy lightweight finish. Use in place of your regular shampoo – and I recommend keeping it out of reach from anyone in your household who might not appreciate its luxeness. It’s also perfect for those with bleach-damaged or coloured hair.”

Rituals The Dream Collection Gift Set, £68.90 worth £111.30

“As someone who struggles to unwind, I’ve been loving this new collection from Rituals. The bundle, worth £111.30, includes a dream journal, foaming shower gel, body cream, mousse lotion, 15ml Eau de Parfum, candle and home spray. The fragrance is a calming blend of jasmine, orris (derived from iris), sandalwood, and musk — soothing yet not overpowering. The dream journal has become a staple in my nightly routine, filled with relaxation techniques, mindful exercises and space to reflect on the day. Another favourite is the foaming shower gel, with its whipped-cream texture. This would make a thoughtful gift or self-care treat.”

“I can’t resist a good tinted lip balm – they’re my go-to for nourished lips and pop of colour. Lucy Bee’s latest launch is a balm-gloss hybrid, available in clear and a gorgeous rosewood shade. The tinted option is universally flattering, delivering a hint of colour without being overly pigmented. Packed with hydrating ingredients like avocado oil, vitamin E and shea butter, it leaves lips feeling soft and conditioned. Best of all, it’s non-sticky and the neutral packaging makes it a staple for everyone – no more awkward moments of handing my male friends a bright pink gloss for their chapped lips!”

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Purse Spray Eau de Parfum Intense, £165

“I’m calling it: Chanel’s refillable purse spray is the perfect spring accessory. The pearl and golden chain feels uber-luxe around your wrist and it has already started plenty of ‘That’s so pretty!’ conversations. Of course, what’s inside the bottle counts too and this amber woody fragrance with a heart of rose and jasmine is the perfect spring spritz. It’s clearly a hefty financial outlay but I’m convinced that you’ll get great cost by wear.”

Luxuriant Hair Growth Serum, £22

“Quickly becoming my favourite thing from Thailand since pad thai, Luxuriant Haircare offers a really exciting, natural alternative to Minoxidil for hair loss and thinning. Packed with 16 organic Thai herbs including Litsea glutinosa to nourish your follicles, houttuynia to combat dandruff and ginger to boost circulation, this serum is my personal favourite from the range. It not only promotes hair growth quickly but makes your strands glossier and swishier just as fast too.”

Inde Wild Dewy Lip Treatment, £18

“The cosmetic scientist in me is excited! I think I’ve found the ultimate dupe for Rhode Lip Peptide Treatment and Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask. Containing nourishing peptides, 2 per cent vegan butter, hydrating squalene and hyaluronic acid, this viral formula is like a spa day for your lips – in fact, they will instantly feel soft, glossy and pampered. There’s even a limited edition Glazed Jalebi version with a super summery golden shimmer.”

Dermalogica Biolumin-C Heat Aging Protector, £79

“Did you know that the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C can potentially supercharge your SPF protection by mopping up extra skin damaging free radicals from the sun to reduce phytodamage? Dermalogica certainly does. With broad spectrum SPF 50, vitamin C and a calming heat-reducing blend of vitamin E and botanicals, this protective moisturiser has all the benefits you need to breathe new life into a dull, roughly textured complexion.”
