The Christmas countdown is on, and that means it’s time to bag your beauty advent calendar 2025. Here are the best of the bunch
With Christmas on the horizon, it’s time to turn your attention to the beauty advent calendars of 2025. Demand has been overwhelmingly strong this year – some have even sold out already. But, panic not, if you’re still on the hunt, here’s our annual roundup of the ones that are still available.
The one for tweens:
Trouble Maker Advent Calendar, £40
Value: £80
Available: launching this week, so be quick!
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: If you’re looking for an advent calendar that marries the gap between not being too grown up for your tween or teen, but also doesn’t feel too babyish, then this could be the winner. From teen-appropriate and affordable, Superdrug brand, Trouble Maker. It contains a mix of lip, eye, brow and blusher products as well as makeup sponges.
Anything extra special? It also contains the brands Peculiar Peptide Lip Balms, which are a dupe for Summer Fridays, and your tween will love.
The one to restock your makeup bag:
Zoeva ‘A Spark of Magic’ Advent Calendar, £120
Value: £240
Available: now
Number of windows: 12
Why you should buy it: Filled with twelve full-size products, yep, that’s right, all full-sizes, if your makeup bag is looking and feeling a little depleted, this is a great way to fill it up in the lead up to Christmas. It contains all the brand’s best-sellers in universal shades that suit every skin tone, including a 2-in-1 eyeshadow and eyeliner in a soft, shimmering light brown, a soft pink lip liner and coordinating lipstick, as well as a peach blusher and some key makeup brushes.
Anything extra special? The brand has created a limited edition shimmering lip balm just for this calendar.
The beauty editor curated one:
Value: £547
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: If you like to know beauty insiders have done the hard work of curating your beauty products, then meet this jam-packed calendar that has been put together by the beauty team at Stylist magazine. Inside there is a mix of iconic products like This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon, Medik8’s SPF and a gorgeous brown liquid eyeliner from makeup brand Vieve.
Anything extra special? This is one seriously well-stocked calendar, in fact there are 32 products hidden in the windows so you get a major haul for your money.
The luxe skincare and body care one:
Elemis Wonders Advent Calendar, £225
Value: £698
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: If you are an Elemis fan, then it’s a no-brainer that you’re going to get this advent calendar. However, if you need some persuading on the economics of it, just know that it contains two full-sized products from the brand’s iconic range, Pro-Collagen – the Future Restore Serum, which normally costs £115 and the Marine Cream, which costs £98. Then you get 24 goodies on top of that. You are getting a lot of value for your initial investment.
Anything extra special? It contains one of my all-time favourite cleansing balms, Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm.
The candle one:
The White Company 12 Days of Fragrance Advent Calendar, £100
Value: £144
Available: now
Number of windows: 12
Why you should buy it: If you are a White Company lover, candle obsessive or looking for a gift for the person that has everything, I think this beauty advent calendar is a great, great shout. It contains 12 of the brand’s best-selling 70g candle scents (there’s Seychelles, Pomegranate, as well as Christmas favourites of Winter Fir and Fireside).
Anything extra special? This, perhaps, of all the calendars, has the most longevity. What I mean by that is that even if you burn the candles frequently, this will keep you stocked up on gorgeous home-scenting scents well into 2026.
The skincare, body care and haircare one:
L’Occitane Luxury Advent Calendar, £149
Value: Not disclosed
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: Designed in the shape of a traditional Provençal farmhouse (where the brand originates from), this calendar quite literally contains everything you need to stock up your bathroom. There are 24 beauty goodies hidden inside spanning skincare – you’ll find the brand’s best-selling Overnight Reset Serum in the mix, body and shower products, including the iconic Almond Shower Oil, hand care featuring the Shea Butter Hand Cream, haircare, fragrance and even a pillow mist.
Anything extra special? All the packaging is sustainably sourced and completely recyclable.
The luxe brands one:
Harvey Nichols Beauty Advent Calendar, £250
Value: over £1000
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: Of the 37 products included in this beautifully designed calendar (it has been created by illustrator Jacky Marshall, known as Jacky Blue), 20 are full-sized. And there are some seriously high-end beauty icons included in the mix, such as the La Prairie UV Veil SPF50 and the cult Sisley Black Rose Mask. You’ll also find cool dental brand Marvis, makeup from Nars, skincare from La Mer and perfume from Le Labo.
Anything extra special? 1 in every 50 Advent calendars contains a £50 Harvey Nichols gift card.
The one you can hang up:
Rituals Classic Advent Calendar, £103
Value: £164.50
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: If table or windowsill space is tight (most of the beauty advent calendars 2025 are sizeable) then how about this festive wreath calendar from Rituals, which you can, handily, hang up on a hook, or I would even recommend over a door like an actual Christmas wreath (I wouldn’t recommend your front door though!). Inside is a mixture of bath, body, skin, haircare and products for the home.
Anything extra special? I think the products that make this calendar really great are the four travel-sized candles and the laundry fabric conditioner (yes, Rituals do really great laundry products too).
The quintessentially British one:
Value: £260
Available: for pre-order now and will be dispatched from 20th October
Number of windows: 12
Why you should buy it: Bramley may not be a brand that’s fully on your radar, unless you spend a lot of time in lovely spas and hotels where you may have sampled the hand wash and hand cream in the toilets (the brand started as founder Chloë couldn’t find any nice hand washes to stock in her family’s inn, so she made her own). But it’s a brand that should be. Not only is it a British one that uses the best natural and botanical ingredients, it looks great and as well as lovely hand and body washes there is some brilliant skincare in the range too. All of which you can try out in this calendar.
Anything extra special? All the packaging is fully recyclable, all of the products are cruelty-free and vegan, but I think the stand out element of this advent calendar is the brilliant body brush that will last you forever and get good skin intentions started for 2026.
The iconic one:
Liberty London Beauty Advent Calendar, £275
Value: £275
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: If you like your calendar to come with a side of heritage, then this is the one for you. Liberty was the first to create a beauty advent calendar, and where it has led, the rest of the beauty world has followed. So this is truly the OG. Inside the gorgeously designed box, which is an homage to the façade of the much-loved central London store, are 30 products (20 of which are full-size), so you get more than one treat on some days, from the likes of Augustinus Bader, Trinny London, Dermalogica, Votary, Philip Kingsley plus one of Liberty’s own fragrances Lbty Zephirine, which is delicious.
Anything extra special? Hidden inside 15 of the advent calendars are ‘golden tickets’ – £1000 gift vouchers to spend in-store or online. Wow!
The cool one:
Cult Beauty Advent Calendar, £240
Value: over £1,200
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: As per Cult Beauty’s ethos, its advent calendar is filled with all the cult brands you want to have in your bathroom cabinet and makeup bag. And as this calendar contains 20 full-size products from the likes of Summer Fridays, Gisou, Medik8, Byoma and Glow Recipe, plus many, many more, your entire skincare routine will get a refresh for 2026.
Anything extra special? Hidden in three calendars is a £1000 Cult Beauty voucher and the brand will be donating £60,000 from its calendar sales to a charity that they are due to announce very soon.
The one with the most full-sized products:
Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar, £260
Value: £1,150
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: This is the calendar for the luxe-brand beauty addict. And we’re not talking piddly little sample sizes here. Of the 35 products included (which is already an epic amount), 26 of them are full-sized and you can expect a Charlotte Tilbury highlighting wand, Dyson hair serum, Drunk Elephant cleanser, La Mer lip gloss, Glossier lip balm and an Hourglass lipstick.
Anything extra special? No, but did we mention that it contains 26 full-size products?!
The best value one:
Look Fantastic The Beauty Advent Calendar, £105
Value: over £655
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: You get a lot of beauty bang for your buck here, and it marks Look Fantastic’s return to the advent calendar scene after not having released one for ten years. There are some serious crowd pleasers in the mix, including Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 perfume mist, MAC’s iconic Spice Lip Liner as well as a White Company candle and the best-selling Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.
Anything extra special? They’ve also done a Grooming Advent Calendar, £85 (worth £425), and there was a Fragrance Advent Calendar, £130, but it sold out in days!
The one for the skincare obsessive:
Boots 24 Days of Skincare Advent Calendar, £70
Value: £289
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: If skincare is your thing, then this is the perfect beauty advent calendar for you. It contains everything from balm cleansers, pimple patches, to milky toners, hydrating serums, sheet masks and body scrubs all from brands stocked in Boots like Q+A, Byoma, Bubble, The Inkey List and Garnier . There are 19 full-size products, and it comes with a reasonable price tag.
Anything extra special? It’s rare to get change from £100 for a beauty advent calendar so kudos to Boots.
The one filled with exclusive treats:
Sephora Favorites Advent Calendar, £225
Value: £1,025
Available: for pre-order now, dispatched before 31 October
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: If you like to know that your Advent calendar doesn’t contain the same products as lots of the others, then step this way. Sephora have managed to include 31 products from brands that are solely available there. We’re talking about Glow Recipe, Merit, Tower 28 and many more. There are 41 treats in total (with more than one product in most windows), and 24 of them are full-sized.
Anything extra special? There are some golden tickets hidden inside certain calendars, offering more treats from the brands featured in the calendar. For example, you may be lucky enough to win an 80-minute spa treatment at Caudalie’s boutique spa or a bespoke product hamper. You will also receive 500 MySephora points when you purchase the calendar, which equates to £25 worth of money to spend on the site.
The one for scent lovers:
Jo Malone London Advent Calendar, £360
Value: n/a as many of the products aren’t available to buy normally.
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: Featuring a playful take on a dartboard, this year’s Jo Malone London advent calendar contains a mix of small candles, body creams, colognes, body mist, lip balm and hand lotions.
Anything extra special? Hidden in one of the windows is a limited edition ‘scent of the season’, which is so secret we don’t even know what it is!
The makeup one:
Value: £430
Available: via the Mac website and in Selfridges and Harrods from 23 September
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: Designed like a makeup vanity, complete with a mirror at the top, the Mac calendar is packed with the brand’s bestsellers, plus key products for the holiday season, 19 of which are full-sized. There are your everyday products – taupe eyeshadows, clear lip glosses, and black mascara and everything you need to create a more statement look, such as red lipstick, false eyelashes, and a shimmering highlighter. And there’s a cleanser for when you’re ready to take it all off.
Anything extra special? The calendar contains two limited-edition products: eye gel pads and a gua sha.
The perfume one to share with your partner:
The Fragrance Shop Advent Calendar, £150
Value: over £400
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: If your partner gets jealous of your beauty advent calendar, then why not treat both of you this year with this one filled with his, hers and unisex scents – you can take turns to open a window! By Christmas day, you’ll have scents such as Michael Kors Pour Femme and Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb Tiger Lily, and he’ll have aftershaves like Boss Bottled and Montblanc Explorer. Plus, there are some gorgeous candles in the mix, too.
Anything extra special? Every calendar comes with a voucher for £10 off when you spend £60 at The Fragrance Shop.
The seriously luxe one:
Diptyque ‘A Night of Wax and Gold’ Advent Calendar, £399
Value: n/a as most of the products are not available to buy in the sizes that come in the advent calendar
Available: now
Number of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: Inspired by fairytales, Diptyque have called upon the talents of three artists to illustrate and decorate the calendar – the end result opens up to look like a Parisian book shop. Not only is it utterly stunning, but there are some fabulous treats inside, as you would expect for the price tag. There are nine candles, including the limited edition, pine-scented Sapin candle that Diptyque releases for Christmas each year, plus some of the brand’s most iconic scents such as smoky Ambre, tangy Baies and floral Roses. There is also a solid perfume, a room spray, six fragrances, a hair perfume, a body lotion, hand cream, soap and a hair and body oil.
Anything extra special? We know it may sound a bit trite to say that you’ll keep the advent calendar box forever, but this one is so beautiful that you may well want to pack it away once Christmas is done, bring it out again next year and fill it with your own treats.
The one for the kids to share:
Lush 29 1/2 High Street Advent Calendar, £125
Value: n/a as many of the bath bombs have been created for the calendar
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: Designed by a Lush employee – Sherrie Tilley, who works in Sheffield’s Meadowhall store and is an illustration graduate – this fully recyclable advent calendar is the one that children of all ages are going to swoon (and probably fight) over. It contains a mixture of bath bombs and bubble bars, all with perfect Christmas designs and scents such as candy canes and reindeer.
Anything extra special? We’ve got to give a special shout-out to the Brussels sprout bath bomb, which is perhaps the only one they won’t fight over, but expect many wind-themed jokes to ensue!
The organic one:
Neal’s Yard Natural & Organic Advent Calendar, £165
Value: £385
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: If you find the run-up to Christmas stressful, then this may be just the tonic. Housed in a beautiful William Morris printed box are 24 windows containing all of Neal’s Yard’s bestselling de-stressing, nurturing, hydrating and sleep-enhancing goodies. There are facial oils, bath and shower gels, pillow mists, relaxation pulse-point rollerballs, as well as oodles of skincare. Thirteen of the products are full-sized, and the rest are luxury sample sizes.
Anything extra special? Again, we’ve got to give a special mention to the packaging on this one. If traditional Christmas advent calendar designs are not your cup of tea, then this sophisticated and chic design may be more to your taste.
The one under £100:
Anthropologie 24 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar, £98
Value: £365
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why should you buy it: As is the way with everything you find in Anthropologie, this calendar is filled with slightly quirky, lesser known but brilliant brands such as Who Is Elijah perfume, Wonderskin lip oil, Grown Alchemist night cream, Nest candle and a Natasha Denona blush duo.
Anything extra special? Without wanting to give too many spoilers, as well as the more expected type of beauty products that are in this there are also some Mermade hair clips which are so handy and the sort of thing you’d probably never buy for yourself.
The glam makeup one:
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest, £175
Value: n/a as many of the sizes aren’t for sale normally
Available: now
Number of windows: 12
Why you should buy it: This contains five full-sized products (two more than last year’s calendar), which are some of the brand’s bestselling Pillow Talk lip products, mascara and eyeliner pencil. Then there are seven luxury skincare and makeup travel-sized goodies.
Anything extra special? If a calendar with 24 or 25 windows just seems far too much to deal with then this smaller, more curated edit may appeal. And for the price this is a great (and more affordable way) to upgrade your makeup bag for the festive season and the new year.
The one to share with your teenager:
Benefit Glam Cube Makeup Advent Calendar Gift Set, £135
Value: over £266
Available: now
No. of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: How cute is this? Designed like a Rubik’s cube, you have to twist and turn the three layers to find the window to open. And the contents are both a teen and grown-up’s dream. There are three full-sized products, with the rest mini or fun-sized. There is also a scrunchie, reusable makeup removing pads and under eye masks.
Anything extra special? Have you seen what it looks like?!
The one for him:
Kiehl’s 24 Days of Kiehl’s Advent Calendar, £120
Value: £244
Available: now
Number of windows: 24
Why you should buy it: This is not specifically a male grooming calendar, but it’s perfect for the man in your life who would appreciate a beauty treat for 24 days in December. You could also share it, if he’s feeling generous. Inside is a mix of the brand’s top skincare, bath and body products, including the brilliant Midnight Recovery Concentrate serum and the super-hydrating Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream.
Anything extra special? If your partner, or you, are in need of new skincare then this does make a very good value way of trying out lots of newness before committing to full-size products.
The one curated by a celebrity makeup artist:
OK! Beauty Advent Calendar by Hannah Martin, £99
Value: over £600
Available: 1st October
No. of windows: 25
Why you should buy it: Celebrity makeup artist and friend of Get The Gloss, Hannah Martin, has put together an absolutely stellar edit of 30 of her favourite skin, hair, makeup and fragrance must-haves in this calendar. 19 of the products are full-size, including the iconic Eve Lom cleanser, Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil and Hildun eyeliner (which is one of my favourite indie makeup brands).
Anything extra special? When you purchase the calendar, your name will be put into a prize draw to win a private virtual makeup masterclass with Hannah herself.
The one for glowing skin:
Gatineau 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar, £85
Value: over £336
Available: now
No. of windows: 12
Why you should buy it: Already a Gatineau fan, or have a friend or family member who is? Then this advent calendar would make a fabulous gift. It contains 6 full-sizes of the brand’s best-sellers, including the Radiance Enhancing Vitamin C Serum (which is one of my all time favourites) and their gradual tan LINK which is probably all over your social media feed.
Anything extra special? There’s nothing in addition, but you’re already getting a lot for a very good price. And, again, if you’re in need of stocking up your skincare stock this is a great, and more affordable, way of doing it while potentially trying out some new products at the same time.
