Weleda Deodorant Stick in Eucalyptus-Peppermint, £8.95

"I made the switch to natural deodorant a few years ago, with various highs and lows along the way. But I felt quite confident that if anyone could make a decent solid natural deo it would be natural skincare experts, Weleda. And I can confirm this is a good'un. It utilises sage oil which has natural antibacterial properties and keeps BO at bay, plus eucalyptus and peppermint oil which give it a zingy scent and makes your skin slightly tingle. If that doesn’t appeal, there’s a lemon and bergamot option or an unscented variety."

Method Body Pure Peace Body Wash, £6.50

"Having been a long-time fan and user of Method’s home cleaning products (the granite cleaner is particularly brilliant), I was thrilled to discover that they have branched out into shower gels (for cleaning yourself not your shower). There are four different scents  and they, like the cleaning products, utilise plant-based ingredients and come in completely recycled packaging. You get a big old bottle for your money and I have seen them on special offer on various online supermarket shopping sites so they are good value too."

Nudestix Nude Beach Eye Pencil Palette, was £58 now £43.50

"If you struggle to blend and buff eyeshadow powders then you may find eye crayons much easier - I certainly do. This new ‘palette’ contains 6 creamy chunky pencils in gorgeous and wearable earthy browns, shimmering pinks and a lovely rose purple. They are creamy enough that you can blend shades together or simply choose your favourite shade and scribble that on. As soon as they dry down they stay put far better than powders so these are also a great option if you have oily lids where everything seems to slip off. You could also buy the palette with a friend and share the pencils between you to make it even more affordable."

Facetheory Glow-C Cream Cleanser, £13

"With new packaging and new formulations this cleanser is not entirely new but has definitely been reinvented. It has a lovely creamy consistency that lathers up slightly and feels nourishing on the skin - it contains sweet almond and avocado oil to do that - and it doesn’t strip and leave skin feeling tight. There’s also vitamin C in the formula which is the brightening ingredient but as this is a cleanser you are going to be washing most of it away so definitely team it with a dedicated vitamin C serum to maximise results."

Sweaty Betty Leak Protect Power Leggings, £88

"You’ve got the period pants, now comes the period activewear. Sweaty Betty has developed this new range in collaboration with Hertility, the virtual clinic for female reproductive health, to cater for women during menstruation, maternity and menopause. Their already-excellent power leggings (I’ve run a million miles in these and can vouch for their quality) have been pimped with a secure, three-layer gusset. They’re far more comfortable than I was expecting and look exactly like the normal leggings. My 15-year-old gymnast daughter was impressed too – Hertility’s research shows that a depressing 80 percent of teens say that periods make them less likely to exercise, so anything that boosts their confidence to keep on cartwheeling gets my vote."

Dr Sam’s Clarity Kit, £37

"I’ve never met a product created by top derm Dr Sam Bunting that I didn’t like and this collection of minis is no exception. Aimed at blemish-prone skin and brimming with well-researched actives, it comprises a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser that doesn’t clog, a calming sunscreen, a spot gel and a night-time retinoid serum. The skincare world is full of big claims but this is the real deal - I’ve consistently used the range on my skin for six months and it has transformed it. This kit is a great gateway to the brand for newbies or perfect for summer travel."

Ten PM Calm Bars, £24 for 12 bars

"The clue’s in the name: these tasty oat and cherry bars are a pre-bed snack to help you settle down in the hope of sweet dreams. Containing ashwagandha, magnesium, chamomile and cherry powder (a miracle cure for insomnia, according to TikTok), they’re vegan, gluten-free and clock up 165 calories. I know you’re not supposed to eat late at night but I’ve found these really handy on evenings when I play tennis until late, haven’t had time for a proper dinner and my heart rate is too high to sleep. Pop on your PJs and serve with a peppermint tea."

Kollo Health’s Premium Liquid Meno Support, £29.87 for a 14-day supply

"I’ve written before about how Kollo’s collagen supplement has been a godsend for this midlife runner with aching joints. Now the brand, founded by TV presenter and  marathon fan Jenni Falconer, has launched a menopause support elixir. Like the collagen, it’s a palatable (blackcurrant flavoured) liquid sachet and it contains all the buzziest adaptogens and extracts for female health. There’s ashwagandha to help with hormonal balance, Lion’s Mane for brain fog and magnesium for tiredness."

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Epigenetic Serum, £49

"Much will be made of ‘epigenetic’ skincare soon, and this cool-feeling serum-lotion (it smells a bit like Nivea suncare) proves it doesn’t have to cost a bomb despite its cutting-edge credentials. Focusing on ‘reactivating the skin’s youth genes’, this lofty aim basically boils down to introducing ingredients (regenerative soybean germ and protective, anti-inflammatory licorice extracts, in this case) that help skin function more effectively to prevent cell degradation and churn out the cells that keep it plump and springy. And that should soften every sign of ageing you can think of (the brand says by up to 99% in four weeks, but that strikes me as biologically impossible)."

RoC Derm Correxion Fill +Treat Serum, £39.99

"Retinol is such a trend, it’s now spawning its own sub-trends, like retinol derivatives, retinoid blends and this latest one, targeted retinoids. Meant to be applied just where you need it (ie, where deeper wrinkles are forming), it comes in a somewhat gimmicky pen-like click dispenser to ‘fill and treat’. The former is thanks to triple weight hyaluronic acid that temporarily but quite visibly plumps out grooves, and the latter is due to reliably line-smoothing retinol boosted with swertiamarin, a herbal extract thought to trigger epidermal growth factors. With Roc being the inventors of cosmetic retinol, this light, unscented cream is pretty certain to deliver on its Botox-ish promises"

Lumene Invisible Illumination Serum-in-Foundation SPF30, £39.90

"I actively dislike the Lumene signature scent (for a brand so keen on its planet-loving credentials, why not something that smells of plants?) but I like the brand’s Nordic antioxidant and soothing actives (berries, oats, algae) and commitment to upcycling. This ‘vegan collagen’ (read my thoughts on this trend) skincare-infused foundation (in ten shades) nicely melts into skin to leave a lovely glow without cakey coverage. It hydrates and fights free radicals and has an SPF30 which you should see a supplemental to your sunscreen, not as primary protection."

DKNY 24/7 Edp, from £45

"You could be forgiven for thinking DKNY never created anything but apple-shaped Be Delicious fragrances, but before that franchise there was a fashion empire and a host of different perfumes. Now, the brand is back with its first all-new scent in the sci-fi hourglass shape of 24/7 Edp, and it’s all things nice. Meant to work equally well for day and nighttime, the first thing that comes to mind when you smell this is ‘innocence’. It’s a sweet floral in the vein of Pleasures by Estee Lauder (remember that one?) – not cloying or overwhelming but quite lovely in a ‘good girl’ way .Think bottled Taylor Swift as opposed to ‘Brat Girl Summer’. Featuring jasmine, rose and tuberose with a fresh, tart edge of green notes and rhubarb, plus some soft woods and ambrox underneath, it’s just launched exclusively at The Perfume Shop."

Morphe Brow Tease Fiber-Infused Volumising Mousse, £11

"With naturally bushy brows, I’m very particular about the products I use - avoiding anything that gives a glued-down look or looks overdrawn. Lately I’ve been using Morphe’s brow tease, a volumising tint with bamboo fibers that create a fuller appearance. Simply brush upwards through your brows to coat the hairs evenly, then swipe back to shape as desired. It doesn’t provide extreme hold, but it’s perfect for daily wear when I want a fluffy look with minimal effort. The small tube is also ideal for keeping in your handbag for touch-ups, ensuring your brows are always on point."

Fenty Skin Plush Puddin’ Intensive Recovery Lip Mask, £19.50

"Due to popular demand Fenty has brought back their previously limited edition lip balm from 2023, and for good reason. The cute pink pot not only looks great but the cherry flavour is irresistible - I struggle to not eat it! Designed as an overnight lip mask, I also use this throughout the day for added hydration and a long-lasting, thick gloss. With ingredients like coconut, pomegranate and jojoba oils, your lips are treated to a moisturising and plumping blend, leaving them soft and smooth."

Star Face Hydro-Star Clear Pimple Patches, £10.95

"Teens sporting pimple patches as fashion statement is very much the rage right now.  I don't think I can pull it off, but enter Star Face's newest collection - the hydro-star clear range. An invisible and fun star-shaped patch, what’s not to love?! Simply stick on your blemish and leave overnight (or at least six hours). The 100 per cent hydrocolloid formula minimises redness, absorbs gunk and creates a barrier against bacteria. I usually wear them while sleeping, but I keep a pack in my handbag in case of spot emergency."

Body Guard, bronze winners in our Wellness Awards, have introduced a sensitive repellent to their range - targeting those who need protection without the irritation.
