Skin Skincare Tweakments

About

Our contributing beauty editor likes to sort the wheat from the chaff and is allergic to hype

Ingeborg van Lotringen was beauty director of Cosmopolitan for 14 years (preceded by many other glossies, none of which any longer exist – remember Minx, Shape or Eve?) before going freelance. She now writes about beauty and health for the Daily Mail, the Telegraph, ES, Style, Red, Women’s Health, Good Housekeeping and so on, as well as for Get the Gloss.

She likes to dig for the truth as she feels there is far too much misinformation and plain nonsense out there (she’s not a fan of TikTok). Skincare and tweakments are her specialty; she wrote her book, Great Skin – secrets the beauty industry doesn’t tell you, as a no-nonsense guide to becoming a savvy skincare shopper and user.

She is rather stress-prone and believes she would have exploded if running and yoga weren’t helping her decompress. Other interests include eating her husband’s cooking and trying to get a cuddle out of her traumatised adopted cat, Moonbeam (named after a song by Prince, who’s another interest).
