The heavenly M&S x Bella Freud collab has landed – but you’ll have to be quick!
This season’s coolest designer collaboration is out, from just £15 – and fashion fans are hyperventilating. You’re going to want everything

We thought Marks & Spencer had excelled themselves with their megahit M&S x Sienna Miller collaboration, but somehow they’ve knocked it even further out of the park with the new M&S x Bella Freud collection.
If you’ve ever coveted a Bella Freud cashmere slogan jumper – perhaps the iconic 1970 style or the Ginsberg Is God one loved by Kate Moss – but baulked at the price tag or been too late to the excellent Bella Freud sale, then M&S x Bella Freud is for you, with prices from £15 for a tote bag to £139 for a roll-neck cashmere sweater.
The bijou 26-piece range includes, of course, those much coveted slogan jumpers. There are six in cashmere and two in merino wool (the latter just £49.50). Take your pick from Honey, Divine Feminine, Nature or Blue Sky emblazoned across the chest. Freud’s trademark sharp tailoring is also covered – chose from a navy pinstripe blazer, skirt and trousers, from £69 to £129. We also have our beady eye on the dark indigo, high rise, kick-flare jeans, at just £45 – they look very useful. But also what about the ultra-long cashmere mix scarves, cute beanie hats and slogan tote bags, from just £15? Decisions, decisions.
The colour palette is considered – classic neutrals, pastels to lift your winter wardrobe and slashes of trending shades including scarlet, fawn brown and chartreuse yellow.
And brownie points for the inclusive sizing: the trousers come in short, standard and long lengths (this 5’1 fashion writer is beyond thrilled), with sizes in many pieces running from 6 to 24.

The M&S x Bella Freud cashmere slogan jumpers, from £129
If you haven’t got the best part of £400 to spend on the Bella Freud mainline cashmere (us neither), these come at a more palatable price point. The Honey Cashmere Jumper, £129 (left), comes in a voguish fawn, while the Divine Feminine Cashmere Jumper, £139 (centre), in classic grey, has a cosy roll neck. We also love the Nature Cashmere Jumper, £129, (right) in the colour of the season, red.
The M&S x Bella Freud accessories, from £15-£89
Just want to dip a toe into the brand? The Divine Feminine Bag, £15 (left), in black or red, is ideal for that – and would also make a chic-but-cheap present for friends. Every Brit needs a beanie – this Merino Rich Wool Blend with Cashmere Hat, £35 (centre), is pretty in pink or chartreuse yellow, while the Cashmere Scarf, £89 (right), in chartreuse yellow or pink, comes with a stylish trim detail.
The M&S x Bella Freud merino and mohair jumpers, from £49.50-£79
More jumpers! These are less expensive, as they’re merino and mohair rather than cashmere. Anyone for cricket? You’re in luck with the Mohair Cricket Merino Rich Wool blend with Mohair Jumper, £79 (left), in chartreuse yellow, and the Mohair Cricket Merino Rich Woolblend with Mohair Jumper, £79 (right), in fawn. But our pick of the bunch is the Blue Sky Pure Merino Wool Jumper, £49.50 (centre), in baby blue. A versatile colour – it’ll go with all your denim, black and navy trousers – and a keen price.
The M&S x Bella Freud suiting, from £69-£129
Now this is very exciting – Freud is renowned for her chic tailoring. We adore how you can mix and match the Pinstripe Blazer, £129 (left), the Pinstripe Skirt, £69 (centre) and the Pinstripe Trouser, £89 (right). That narrow navy stripe is both timeless and flattering too.
The M&S x Bella Freud tops, from £49.50-£99
The 100% silk shirts manage to be both pleasingly prim and a little bit rock’n’roll at the same time – check out the Bow Shirt, £99 (left), in blue, and Bow Shirt, £99, in white (right). Finally, ’tis the season of the sweater vest and this is a monochrome marvel: the Merino Rich Wool blend with Mohair Vest, £49.50.
