Prepped by It’s So Simple, from £5.23 for a breakfast and £7.23 for a main meal
“Founder of health platform It’s So Simple Rachael Sacerdoti, a PT and nutritionist, has teamed up with Prepped meals for this range of high protein, UPF-free breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Delivered to your door on a Monday with a minimum order of four meals, all you need to do is bung ‘em in the microwave. Everyone in my family devoured them (especially the banana and pecan oat bake and the smoked pulled beef with coriander rice), they’re a godsend during a busy week and unlike traditional ready meals, they taste home-cooked and actually fill you up.”
SHOPMama Shrooms Day, £30 and Mama Shrooms Night, £30 (or £55 for a bundle of both)
“Mushroom supplements are ubiquitous but this new launch caught my eye. Created by Brighton plant-based chef Gemma Ogston for midlife women, Mama Shrooms aims to simplify things for those of us who don’t have a phD in fungi. There’s a Day supplement (high potency so just take one capsule) with lion’s mane, cordyceps and tremella to power you through, and a Night one with reishi, maitake, chaga to calm you down. The former seems to take the edge off my deadline days at work so I’m sold. Sidenote: how cute is that ‘70s hippy style packaging?”
SHOPVerve Naked Beauty collagen, £80 for a month’s supply (£65 on subscription)
“This new launch from luxe supplements brand Verve contains a hefty 12.5g of marine collagen peptides. It takes a belt-and-braces approach to boosting skin, hair and nails with hyaluronic acid, biotin, zinc, vitamins C and E, copper and probiotics in there too. The powder has a surprisingly delicate vanilla and strawberry taste – normally I find the flavours added to hide the fishiness in marine collagen horribly overbearing. It’s pricey but it’s one of the most pleasant I’ve tried. And, a few weeks on, I’ve got a load of new baby hairs sprouting along my hairline.”
SHOPBuilt For Athletes Women’s Training Leggings, £49.99
“Built For Athletes are best known for gym bags but they’ve now launched a bijou range of activewear. I’ve put these black leggings through their paces for running, yoga, tennis and weight training, and am impressed. Full marks for the ultra-soft, flattering, wicking fabric, high waistband that stays glued in place and competitive price. Add a phone pocket for us runners and they’d be perfect.”

Alpha H Liquid Gold + Vitamin C, £50.99
“The original Alpha H Liquid Gold genuinely transforms skin overnight, making it feel like velvet in the morning. I was ecstatic when this new version with skin-brightening vitamin C landed on my desk. Containing 5 per cent glycolic acid to blitz pigmentation, tighten pores and boost collagen, while vitamin C evens skin tone and creates glow. Apply at night – it will tingle but don’t panic, that’s what it’s meant to do – because the formula is quite potent, begin using it once a week and build-up to three. You can add a moisturiser on top, but it’s more powerful left to its own devices.”
SHOPLisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer, £27
“Whenever I’ve interviewed makeup artist Lisa Eldridge, her top advice for making concealer look completely natural and undetectable is to go small; use a small brush, a small amount of product and small buffing movements. Now, she has made that ethos even easier with these genius ultra-slim concealer pencils (available in 16 shades). The precise nibs have been designed to target specific areas – perfect for the red veins around my nose and a stubborn pigmentation patch on my cheek. The creamy-gel and completely waterproof formula blends seamlessly. There’s also a handy sharpener hidden in the opposite end to keep the nib pin-point perfect.”
SHOPThis Works Deep Sleep Beauty Oil, £45
“If you’re a fan of the This Works Deep Sleep Spray then you will love this new body oil that contains all the sleep-boosting benefits of the spray alongside ingredients like bakuchiol to kickstart the skin’s renewal process as well as hydrating oils like sweet almond and blackcurrant seed. It can be used on the face and the body but I’ve been focusing it on my chest and arms so I can inhale the scent as I drift off to sleep.”
SHOPLiz Earle Superskin Advanced Bi-Phase Brightening Essence, £26
“If you have dry skin that needs lots of hydrating layers, or oilier skin that prefers a light layer that packs a moisturising punch, this new essence suits everyone. It is bi-phase, which means it contains an oil and a watery layer, and it’s imperative to give it a good shake to get a good mix of the two. It contains pomegranate oil to hydrate and firm as well as acacia tree extract which is a plant-based collagen alternative, however it also has the most gorgeous herby green scent so make sure you take a few good deep breaths as you press into the skin to start and end your day.”

Advanced Nutrition Skin-Gut Biome Duo, £20
“I’ve never been great at keeping up with supplements, but this reset kit is as simple as it gets. It includes Advanced Nutrition’s signature Skin Clear and Youth Biome, designed to combat signs of ageing and promote clearer skin and lasts just 10 days (two capsules a day), which even I can manage. The capsules contain 10 different bacteria strains and 10 billion live cultures to support gut health, which is key to supporting immunity and overall skin health.”
SHOPWho Is Elijah Cherry Fiesta, from £40 for 10ml
“If you haven’t heard of this Australian fragrance brand that arrived in the UK late last year, it’s time to get acquainted. It secured a finalist spot in our Beauty Awards and it’s quickly gaining a cult following. The latest addition is this cherry-based offering, but don’t let the name fool you, the cherry is subtle and not overly sweet. Paired with notes of mandarin and pear, the vanilla undertones strike a unique yet sophisticated blend. You know a fragrance is a statement when strangers on the tube stop to ask what you’re wearing – I’m obsessed. “
SHOPSol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil, £52
“If you’re looking to elevate your self-care routine, let me introduce you to a body oil that does more than just moisturise. Infused with cacay oil and amaranthus flower extract, it acts as a natural retinol alternative, rejuvenating and regenerating skin. Squalane delivers the plumping effect we all love and leaves skin hydrated and glowy – rather than greasy. Fast-absorbing and scented with their signature sweet cheirosa 68 fragrance, it lingers long after application, ensuring you smell lush day and night.”
SHOPNutriburst Enhanced Hydration Recovery Electrolytes, £6.49 for 6 sachets
“If you struggle to stay hydrated throughout the day, this electrolyte powder could be the solution. These convenient fruit-flavoured daily sachets contain 11 essential vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, liposomal vitamin C and vitamin B12. Designed to boost energy, balance electrolyte levels, reduce fatigue, support overall health and are sugar-free (unlike many other hydration powders). They also offer variants focused on beauty, gut health and energy.”

Drowsy Beauty Sleep Magnesium Body Cream, £45
“As a long-time sufferer of insomnia, I’m always on the lookout for natural ways to help me relax at night and this is infused with sleep-focused botanicals including lavender and papaya plus magnesium which helps with muscle tension and the nervous system. It smells divine, has a smooth and silk texture and massaging it all over, after a hot bath is the perfect way to unwind after a long day.”
SHOPJo Loves White Rose & Lemon Leaves Candle, £55
“Scented candles are my weakness and this is my latest purchase. It is an absolute masterpiece from the queen of fragrance, Jo Malone, who has cleverly crafted a triple layered candle with three distinct rose scents. It starts in an English garden with white rose and lemon leaves, then as the candle melts down you are transported to the South of France with a Rose de Mai scent. It culminates in the Middle East with an exotic and heady mix of rose and dates. You get almost 40 hours of sensory bliss with this candle and every one will smell like heaven.”
SHOPSeabody Movement Supplement, £49 for a month supply
“As a midlifer, who hit 60 last year, I have been fine-tuning my supplement regime to help keep me healthy. But it can be confusing to know where to start. If you feel the same, let me introduce you to Seabody, an award-winning supplement range from Ireland, formulated by women for women. I’ve been taking Movement because I need to support my bone and joint health (there are also Gut Health and Beauty blends too). Each has been specifically formulated to give you everything you need to deal with that issue – Movement contains vitamins b12, b2, b7 and marine oxidants to help with mobility and energy levels. Pop one in the morning and you’re done.”
SHOPSkinsense Ceramide24 Glass Skin Elixir, £48
“As a sufferer of winter-worn skin, I’m excited to share a game-changing face oil with you. What’s so special about it? The texture. Despite its oil formulation, it has a feather-light texture that’s not greasy. You can wear it solo or mix in with day cream or foundation, and it leaves a gorgeous healthy glow. It’s formulated with ceramides to fortify the skin barrier, squalene for super-hydration and enriched with essential nutrients and fatty acids. I use day and night and my skin has never felt so buoyant for this time of year.”
