“I don’t need any persuading to remember to take magnesium when it comes as a delicious hot chocolate. It has three types of magnesium: glycinate (best for sleep), citrate (constipation and cramps) and malate (for sports performance) and at 375mg, it gives you 100 per cent of RDA, with added passiflora (passion flower) for sleep and anxiety. It’s quite sweet thanks to stevia – magnesium has quite a metallic taste and chalky texture that needs masking. However my son, who is doing exams, drinks it without a murmur. One pouch has 30 servings, making it a cheap and delicious way to get the mineral that 70 per cent of women are low in.”

“The Nira Pro home laser is the one face gadget I’ve stuck to daily since it launched in the UK last summer, because it’s just so easy and particularly good for under-eye wrinkles. You press it onto dry skin – I do a circuit around the eyes nose and mouth – and it fires a pleasant dose of heat. This stimulates heat shock proteins, which tell your skin to repair, staying just below the level of deliberate heat trauma of a salon laser. The new app-connected Nira Pro+ has the same regenerating and wrinkle-busting action, but fires faster – what used to take me three minutes with the Pro in the morning now takes two, and so I end up doing more areas. There’s so little at-home help for the delicate skin around the eyes and this is the device I recommend to everyone.”

“It’s hard to believe that Aromatherapy Associates is 40 years old. They’re sharing the love with a limited edition celebratory bundle of hero products that’s an absolute steal. It’s worth £172 but works out less than half price at £75. The emphasis is on winding down with the cult De-Stress Mind Bath and Shower Oil (normally £60 alone!), Relax Sleep Mist, and the De-Stress Muscle Gel. And to pick you up again there’s Revive Body Oil. These are heritage heroes for a reason.”

Dr Althea Jelly Seal Repair Mask Set, was £11.68 now £10.51

“Dr Althea’s affordable Korean vegan skincare, beloved by Selena Gomez, has just launched into the UK at Boots with a 15 per cent introductory discount. The product that’ll cause a stampede is the viral 345 Relief Cream, £18.69, a rich barrier repair ointment that calms breakouts. I loved the Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm, £16.14, which comes out like pencil shavings when you twist the pot. My standout, however, is this Jelly Seal Repair Mask (not stocked at Boots, available at yesstyle.com) which clings to the skin effortlessly so you can go about your business, and smooths out wrinkles with a deluge of hydration. There’s enough left in the sachet for at two days’ worth of serum – bargain!”

“I’ve only ever used Apple AirPods while exercising so these were a revelation. They’re ultra comfortable and don’t fall out, thanks to the silicone design that hooks around the ear and is thin enough to allow you to wear sunglasses too. They help keep you safe by sitting on the ear, rather than inside it so – crucially for lone female runners – you can hear what’s going on around you, as well as your music. “This is the brand that’s finally persuaded my recalcitrant 14-year-old son to look after his skin and hair. Created by former beauty editor Charlotte-Anne Fidler and aimed at tween/teens, it’s gentle, natural and nasties-free. The gel moisturiser is very light, and contains witch hazel and rosemary so it’s kind to oily teenage pores. I use it when he’s not looking. Cute packaging too.”

WelleCo The HydroProtein Elixir Protein Water, £35

“As someone who finds it hard to stomach my many morning supplements, this clever two-in-one powder appealed. Get The Gloss columnist Elle Macpherson’s WelleCo has combined hydrating electrolytes (sodium, potassium and magnesium) with 15g of strength-building pea protein per serving. This makes it ideal for shaking up with water before my early morning gym sessions (it’s far less heavy than a typical protein shake). “This is one beauty launch I didn’t realise I’d been waiting for, but it makes perfect sense. We all know and love the iconic Bum Bum Cream, but let’s be honest – sometimes you’re just not in the mood for a rich, heavy texture. This lotion is lightweight and sinks into the skin almost like a body serum. Infused with hyaluronic acid and vitamins E and K, it provides deep, long-lasting hydration. Oh, and it’s got that same irresistible sunny scent Cheirosa 62 with which we’re all obsessed.”

“I first came across K-beauty brand Beauty of Joseon on TikTok, where their SPF went viral. Now, they’ve just launched a skin tint — and I’m certain it’ll be the internet’s next obsession.
