Revealed! Say hello to the Get The Gloss Beauty Awards 2025 winners

After months of testing, scrutinising and evaluating, the winners, runners-up and finalists of the Get The Gloss Beauty Awards 2025 are here.

Products had to impress our discerning panel of 26 expert judges from across fields of medicine, aesthetics, hair styling and skin science as well as veteran beauty journalists who’ve seen it all.

These are the products that genuinely delighted our judges. Lots of them have found a place in their professional toolkits and on their,personal skincare shelves. And as the categories spanned everything from skincare, hair and scalp care, body care to makeup, electrical tools and gadgets and fragrance, these really are the best of the best that the beauty world has to offer.

If you missed the online ceremony, you can watch the replay below. Each category features a video by the relevant judge, revealing why their winner stood out from dozens of entries in their categories. The winners are announced in the order listed below.

What do we do with all our testers?

Nothing goes to waste. Year-round, we give our testers to refugee charity Care For Calais, who look after people stuck in the asylum processing system with access only to the very basics. We take much-needed supplies to our local women’s refuge. We donate ten premium raffle prizes to The Katie Piper Foundation, the burns rehabilitation charity which raises tens of thousands of pounds at its annual carol concert.

We give hundreds of products to QVC presenter and friend of Get The Gloss Matilda Velevitch, a one-woman powerhouse supporting numerous refugee charities, including a venture called 9 Kitchens. This sustainable catering company services the likes of Google and LVMH, with meals cooked by refugees using authentic recipes from their home countries. The money raised from beauty sales helps put them through catering training.

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Fiona Brackenbury, skincare expert: “These pads outperformed everything. They’ve really thought about the ingredients, using a blend of four exfoliating acids. It’s a sophisticated formulation, as you’d expect from a product created in South Korea. After use, your skin has this stunning radiance but it’s so hydrated too. Amazing!”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Maryam Zamani, oculoplastic surgeon: “This body scrub surpassed my expectations, leaving my skin soft and smooth. I’m sensitive to scent and found this pleasantly mild but still energising. Great value for money, I loved the feel and the experience.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Wendy Rowe, makeup artist: “Even if you’ve got sensitive skin, this is going to work for you. And it does an amazing job of removing makeup without stripping the skin. I love that it comes with a cloth and that it’s dual-sided so you can lightly exfoliate with one and remove with the other. It’s beautiful to massage into the skin and you can leave it on to work as a treatment for a few minutes too.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Ahmed El Muntasar, aesthetic doctor: “With this cleanser, you feel clean but not ‘over clean’, the ingredients are effective and gentle and the eco packaging is next level.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Michelle Class, celebrity nail technician: “Lots of cream cleansers can feel a bit watery, but this is lovely and thick. It did a great job at removing makeup, but it’s also super nourishing and hydrating, so much so I didn’t have to put moisturiser on afterwards.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Lisa Caldognetto, makeup artist: “I think this spray is amazing. I was recently ill in hospital, and I took it with me and was spraying it on the nurses’ faces to give them an instant refresh and hydration hit. It’s packed with great ingredients, works on all ages and skin types, and the spray mechanism is just perfect – not too aggressive but the perfect mist.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge makeup artist Ruby Hammer: “These eye masks are fantastic value – you get 24 packs here, which is just 75p a go. The huge box encourages you to use them regularly and you’ll see cumulative results if you do. Short term the hyaluronic acid helps plump up the skin, while long term the gentle retinol smooths fine lines. I’ll absolutely be putting these in my makeup kit to use on clients.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Madeleine Spencer, beauty journalist and makeup artist: “This clever patch makes your spot looks less pronounced while healing it at the same time. Crucially, it stops you from touching it and making it worse. It’s your first first port of call when a spot appears  – and it really works.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Maryam Zamani, oculoplastic surgeon: “For those with sensitive skin, this is a lovely product that provides a wonderful sensory experience without irritation. It felt really premium, it melted into my skin and layered well under moisturiser.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Tania Adib, consultant gynaecologist: “Especially in menopause, many women develop dry and dehydrated skin, and this nighttime cream-to-oil formula is brilliant for rehydration. It turns into an oil on application without feeling greasy and really sinks into the skin. At £9 you can’t go wrong!”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Galyna Selezneva, aesthetic doctor: “For the price, the availability and the effectiveness of cica for repair, there is nothing better. I’ve applied this cream on my face, neck and decolletage and on a recent burn and now my tube is empty! My mother who has dry, sensitive skin, is going to love this too.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Ash Soni, plastic surgeon: “The science and the research behind Revision as a brand are excellent. The ingredients in this serum are innovative, with sunflower sprout extract to negate the visible effects of glycation and boost the energy of the cells. It feels great on the skin, the clinicals are good – you can’t beat it.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Rose Gallagher, makeup artist: “When you’ve got redness, you know the skincare rules that will work well and they’re quite boring! But this brings a bit of excitement to a routine. It’s gentle, deeply hydrating, instantly comforting, and it has a gorgeous buttery texture that sits really nicely under makeup. An easy to use option that ticks all the redness boxes.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Fiona Brackenbury, skincare expert: “When brands want to create a retinoid they look to Medik8 as the industry gold standard. This retinal is, as always, an exceptional product. It has the potency and effectiveness you’d expect but with excellent skin barrier support too. It has a beautiful texture, it’s really moisturising and it works fast to stimulate cell renewal and smooth skin texture.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Lisa Oxenham, beauty director, writer and content creator: “Even though this 30% vitamin C is high-strength, it didn’t make my sensitive skin react. As soon as I put it on, it felt like it was doing something. It’s helping with post-pregnancy pigmentation too. It has so much good stuff in, including peptides and I don’t want the bottle to end.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Sonia Khorana, GP and aesthetics doctor: “The science behind this is really impressive. It is a peptide-rich formula that supports the skin’s natural renewal process overnight. It’s not super expensive, so you can use it every day, plus it’s gentle and suitable for all skin types.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Mary Greenwell, makeup artist: “I love the classic nature of this biodynamic 100 per cent natural brand with its signature green packaging. This hydrating serum is not too thick, allowing you to layer on other products. Your skin feels not just hydrated but refreshed – affordable and wonderful for every age.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Jasmine Hemsley, wellbeing expert: “This three-in-one solution replaces your serum, oil and moisturiser and contains the retinol alternative bakuchiol, plus ayurvedic botanicals amla for high-strength vitamin C and ashwagandha for ageing well. It feels fresh, light and hydrating.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Lisa Oxenham, beauty director, writer and content creator: “This is such a brilliant formula at this price point. Probiotic cultures help rebalance the microbiome, reduce sensitivity, and strengthen the skin’s natural defences. Postpartum, my skin has become much more reactive and prone to redness and focusing on barrier health has made the biggest difference. It’s soothing, calming, and has genuinely helped my skin to feel safe again. It’s certified by the Soil Association and that’s something that’s really important to me. Congratulations.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Ahmed El Muntasar, aesthetic doctor: “The pedigree of the ingredients, the expert founders and formulation is unparalleled. This one cream has all the things your skin needs to nourish and rejuvenate overnight, and I have seen lovely results on my own skin.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Raj Arora, GP and aesthetics expert: “This feels really luxurious and lightweight on the skin and doesn’t leave any white cast. It contains lots of great skincare ingredients as well as 20% zinc oxide, which is a good filter to have in an SPF 50. It is refillable, and the brand is doing some excellent eco initiatives, which I think qualify the price point.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Ash Soni, plastic surgeon: “I loved the feel, the absorption, and the thoughtful ingredients, combining regenerative and soothing properties. It’s well researched, chic and it’s going on my shelf.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Ruth Crilly, model and author: “I was astounded at how effective this was at plumping up my lips – they look almost obscene! It’s ideal for slicking on when you’re about to walk into a party or do a selfie, as it only takes 30 seconds to work. You can layer the pinkish gloss over any other lip colour plus its hydration qualities are really long lasting.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Jasmine Hemsley, wellbeing expert: “This Essential Oil kit, containing six different blends, is so much more than the simple enjoyment of scent — it’s an invitation to tune into your mood and gently shift it if needs be. WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Raj Arora, GP and aesthetics expert: “This is excellent. Lots of thought has been put into the formulation, and there is great science behind it. Since I have been using it, I have noticed a marked difference in the density of my hair, as well as a reduction in shedding. It also looks great and is a joy to use, and as consistency is key with a product like this, it makes you want to make it part of your routine.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Gustav Fouche, stylist and salon owner: “This charcoal based shampoo is great for detoxing scalps, removing heavy metals and build up. It cleansed my hair but it didn’t strip. Well done!”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Adam Reed, stylist and salon owner: “This gives the kind of hydration you’d expect from a much heavier mask, but it doesn’t weigh hair down at all. You can use a tiny bit as a conditioner or a bit more as a weekly mask. Not many masks genuinely work for all hair types, but this one does. It smells lovely too.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Ruth Crilly, model and author: “This serum is designed to be used before bed but it also worked incredibly well on damp hair before blow-drying and also to tame down dry hair in the morning. Of all the entries, this one made the most noticeable difference – it just melts in to deliver hair that looks and feels so silky.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Mira Parmar, makeup artist: “The price point is brilliant, you get a lot for your money and with its hair-loving ingredients, it leaves curls bouncy and weightless without a hint of crispiness that can often be found in so many curl gels.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Gustav Fouche, stylist and salon owner: “I’ve always loved this dry shampoo, it knocks the spots off others, it’s soft, without grittiness and leaves no residue. It gives you an extra day between washes and a whole lot more body to elevate your style. Well done!”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Genevieve Turley, makeup artist: “This multi-tasker does it all: it gives a bouncy blow dry, it curls, it straightens. The dry hair mode is brilliant too for giving day 2 hair a quick boost. It’s foolproof and very fast, and I was impressed by the amount of volume it gave my fine, straight hair.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Galyna Selezneva, aesthetic doctor: “This is such a versatile brush for wet and dry hair, and it maintains the concept of ‘do no harm’. Because of the unique design of the bristles, it’s for everybody, whether you have a sensitive scalp, fine, tangle-prone hair, hair or even thick curly hair, making brushing into a treat, not a chore.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Madeleine Spencer, beauty journalist and makeup artist: “The texture of this good value moisturiser is what really makes it stand out. It’s lightweight, slips on quickly and easily and lasts. It’s soothing, lightly scented, works on sensitive skin and made my skin look and feel really soft.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Sonia Khorana, GP and aesthetics doctor: “We underestimate the effect hard water has on our skin and hair, and there aren’t many products on the market that tackle it. So I think this is a real first. It’s got really good ingredients – PHA, glycerin, centella – plus the unique Klean complex, which neutralises hard water. It comes in two sizes; the smaller one is ideal for travelling. I also really like the sleek packaging, it makes me want to use it.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Michelle Class, celebrity nail technician: “I absolutely love this exfoliating hand wash. It gently sloughs away dead skin, making a huge and instant difference to the appearance of your hands and nails. Plus, it’s not drying in the slightest.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Sophie Shotter, aesthetic doctor. “Impressive performance from a home-use device using clinically-backed wavelengths. The high power, number of bulbs and the second-skin fit makes this standout LED mask in a crowded market.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Tania Adib, consultant gynaecologist: “For me, as a gynaecologist specialising in vulval disorders, this intimate wash is a standout winner. As doctors, we are always telling our patients to wash their intimate area with only water, but the reality is you want to wash with something to feel clean. A lot of the products out there are irritating with a strong smell and leave a residue. This is none of those, and it has a lovely consistency. If you’re going to use anything on your vulva, this is it.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Wendy Rowe, makeup artist: “I met the founder right at the beginning of her journey with this brand, and I’m so impressed with what she’s done. I love that she has people with eczema in mind with all of the products, and this genuinely works for people with sensitive eyes. Plus, it’s a great mascara that doesn’t drop.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Ruby Hammer, makeup artist: “I love everything about this stacking palette. You can’t go wrong with these four matte neutrals – you don’t have to be a makeup artist to work out these colours! They’re perfect for an easy daytime look. The formulas are talc-free and vegan, it’s ideal for travel as it doesn’t take up much room and, at £20, it’s good value. This brand is new to me and I’m really impressed.” 

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Madeleine Spencer, beauty journalist and makeup artist: “The wand is really innovative and coats every hair on your brow, whether short or long. The clear formula really does lock your brow in place. A hardworking product that delivers on its promises.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Genevieve Turley, makeup artist on the winner: “Powder blushes seem to have fallen out of favour but this one is excellent. It has a beautiful glow and gives a lovely pop of colour without being too much. It’s not an intimidating blush. Shove it on, get out the door and it’ll last all day (unlike some cream blushers that you have to keep reapplying). It has sturdy, easy to open packaging and will last you a year or more.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Lisa Caldognetto, makeup artist: “This serum-like foundation delivers a gorgeous natural finish to the skin. A little goes a long way, so you get a lot for your money, but it’s really buildable and suitable for all skin types. It contains lots of great skincare technology and ingredients and comes in an impressive range of 51 shades.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Mira Parmar, makeup artist: “This pocket-sized LED and microcurrent tool, which is compact, at a great price point and easy for on-the-go in ten minutes a day. My skin felt lifted and contoured when I used it.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Rose Gallagher, makeup artist: “As someone who tans all the time, this really stood out. It has a unique gel but slightly watery texture that spreads and blends really easily. It’s quick and easy to use, and the clear formula means it doesn’t stain the sheets. It comes in a huge pot, I’ve used loads and barely made a dent, so it’s great value for money. And most importantly, it delivers a gorgeous deep tan.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Mary Greenwell, makeup artist: “I love the simplicity of this single-wick candle and the beautiful glass jar, which I will keep. It smells divine before you even light it.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Adam Reed, stylist and salon owner: “I just kept returning to this one over and over so it was my clear winner. There’s a lot of overriding sweetness in the perfume world at the moment but this isn’t like that – it’s clean, pure, a bit fruity and a bit herbaceous. It’s refreshingly simple and that’s reflected in the beautiful ombre glass bottle too.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Dr Sophie Shotter, aesthetic doctor: “A pioneering eco luxury supplement developed by leading scientists with over 25 years of research, this combines medicinal mushrooms, adaptogens, probiotics and collagen going beyond just skin health.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Olivia Falcon, beauty journalist: “Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer is just as good today as when it first launched in 1974. It restores hair’s health and lustre, turning straw into silk after just one use. It always delivers.”

The brush is gentle but gets my teeth really clean, even when I’ve been drinking coffee. And one charge lasts several weeks. Seriously impressive.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Ateh Jewel, journalist and beauty founder: “This foundation has a lovely bouncy texture and weightless feel on the skin. There’s no ashiness on darker skin tones and the packaging feels pleasingly gadgety: 1980s toy-meets-Apple AirPods.”

WINNER’S MENTION: Says judge Victoria Woodhall, Get The Gloss editorial director: “This is a really easy and discreet way to boost your hair and scalp every day in ten minutes.
