Aromatherapy Associates Support Breathe Shower Mist, £38

“I’m prone to winter colds settling and when I feel one coming on, I reach for the essential oil of this scent – the blend of eucalyptus, tea tree, and pine clears my airways and eases breathing. So I was so excited to try this innovation: an in-shower mist to do exactly the same. You spray 2-3 pumps into the hot water of the shower. The result is part a spa-like steam room and part the old-fashioned method of breathing over a bowl of steamy water with a towel over your head, just with less faff. I’m not currently ill but can confirm that it gives you a sense of vitality and zing when you’re well.”

Laneige Water Bank Aqua Facial, £33

“Meet the newest addition to Laneige’s Water Bank range, a collection of products aimed at drenching the skin in, you’ve guessed it, water. “I implicity trust that when Aveda launch a new haircare product that it will be excellent, and they haven’t let me down with this volumising spray. It lifts my fine hair to give it bounce without making me look like a poodle. It also leaves it soft and smooth, not sticky like volumising sprays can. It gives brilliant hold all day long. And it has Aveda’s signature scent that’s bit herby, a bit woody and all kinds of gorgeous.”

Cerave Invisible Hydrating Fluid Sunscreen SPF 50, £17.99

“It seems strange that Cerave didn’t already have dedicated SPFs in their extensive skin-soothing range. They’ve taken their time getting the formulation just right and it’s worth the wait. There are 5 new SPFs, including handy rollerball applicators and a big tube for the body (perfect for beach holidays) but I reached straight for this lightweight, invisible face SPF that I’ve been wearing daily. It contains the brand’s famous ceramide blend which supports the skin barrier, and it contains the highest level of SPF protection as well as an antipollution complex.”

Living Proof Moisture Rescue Mask, £37

“It turns out hair has a protective moisture barrier just like skin, and Living Proof cleverly is the first to address it with this cream-gel mask. Without the barrier, hair’s inner structure suffers water damage and becomes weak; five minutes with this mask replenishes essential lipids to reinforce it and seal your hair’s cuticles, turning strands water-tight and smooth for up to three washes. You’ll be tempted to scoop out a big blob each time but you really only need a fingertip for it to melt across your entire face. Massage in to begin loosening dirt and debris, add water to transform into a milk then use the cleansing cloth to remove – if you’re a wash-and-rinse type of face cleanser, this is not for you. You’re left with a fine film of nourishing fruit seed oil fatty acids and antioxidants alongside peptides and ceramides, so you could even skip your moisturiser if you’re in a hurry.”
