What do we do with all our testers?
Rest assured, nothing goes to waste! We give our testers to refugee charity Care For Calais, which looks after people stuck in the asylum processing system with access only to the very basics, and we take much-needed supplies to our local women’s refuge.
This year, we’ve been able to put 12 refugees through catering and hospitality training to help them start their working lives in the UK, thanks to money raised from a sale of products submitted for the Get the Gloss Awards. The training was carried out via social enterprise, 9 Kitchens, a sustainable plant-based catering company that services the likes of Google and LVMH, with meals cooked by refugees using authentic recipes from their home countries.
We receive lovely messages from people we have been able to help. Thank you to all the brands who support our awards by entering – your contribution goes way beyond this space.
If you’re a winner or finalist, please download your free-to-use badge and tell your community of your triumph. Tag us in #gettheglossawards @getthegloss and we’ll share the love. Congratulations all!
